Love it here, a good day out with children. There's a decent assortment of animals from South America, a lovely play area, bouncing pillows and a nice little soft play. The cafe is really decently priced and get a good amount of food. The baked potatoes are perfect and huge! The shop has a good selection for not a bad price for a gift shop. We had a brilliant day out.
We visited today and absolutely loved it. It took us two animal obsessed people about 3 hours to go round twice. There’s a wide variety of interesting animals and you can get so much closer to them than other zoos! I was amazed with how close I could be to the jaguar! This place is perfect for an affordable day out. I would highly recommend and visit over and over again! As somebody who is very involved in animal welfare i think this zoo takes care of their animals to a very high standard and I’m very impressed with all the space and enrichment they have!
A really small zoo, with not as many animals as I thought there would be. Took a second walk around to revisit some enclosures to see the animals but such sweet animals especially the little toucan bird in the picture. She was so sweet and interactive which was lovely. A nice zoo for the kids if your looking to spend a 2-3 hours here. As a young adult only spend an 1 hour here.
Wonderful time spent here at a leisurely pace. Plenty of time to fit everything in as a smaller park. Had a break on the park, rainforest springs- trampoline was a hit! We enjoyed the Tropical house most and the Marmoset monkeys. Plenty of parking, a great park for younger children.
First of all seeing animals penned up is not my favorite thing. Having said that they do a pretty good job of giving the animals space and you are able to see them close up. The cafe needs work, but the gift shop was adequate
Excellent zoo, compared to other zoos like twycross zoo that arguably have more of a name it felt very personal and welcoming. The animals are everywhere and rather than all being in prison like enclosures, it felt very open yet safe. The selection of animals was brilliant and the the layout itself was excellent, my four year old was super engaged and only started to get a little tired towards the end. Staff was friendly and prices quite reasonable. I got to have a great face to face with a puma and you don't do that everyday, would highly recommend a visit.
Lovely afternoon out for our little girl 2. Spent 4 hours or more looking round the animals and playing on the outside playground and indoor soft play area under 12's Highly recommend a visit !
Got very close closer than I have to many animals like this previously to some amazing creatures like Pumas, Ocelots, Jaguars, Marmosets, flamingos and lots of others. Decent cafe, good toilets around the zoo and a great play area and soft play for kids of different ages.
Really enjoyed my visit to Amazona Zoo. A wide range of animals to see and photograph, some free roaming. The big cats are amazing of course. The information boards are all very informative. Excellent place to visit.
Amazona Zoo is a lovely, family friendly zoo with lots of different and beautiful animals. It has indoor and outdoor play areas for children. A lovely little gift shop and a cafe for afterwards. Highly recommended.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
