Met a friend last Friday for a coffee ended up staying and having a Cornish breakfast. It was served promptly and was really tasty! Staff were friendly and attentive. We stayed a bit longer than intended and felt no pressure to move on in anyway. I would recommend and very likely to return again
It's quiet at four o'clock in the afternoon anyway and the Danish pastry was probably the best I've had in a long while. I like the decor too. I haven't ever had an evening meal there but the menu looks good.
All the staff were superb. Our 5 meals were beautifully cooked and served. The menu had something for everyone. There was a relaxed atmosphere. We had a great evening. Thank you all at the Alverne restaurant.
Great restaurant with good menu choice. Had a lovely evening here. Managed to get a table without booking on a busy Saturday evening which was a bonus.
Enjoyed every minute of it the from starters through to desserts were fantastic. The staff where fantastic .I would recommend to everyone
The Alverne managed to fit us in on a busy Tuesday evening and it was definitely worth visiting! The food was delicious and the service was the best we received during our trip to Cornwall. Highly recommend the steak!
I was pleasantly surprised. The food was done meticulously well. Both the Hake and Pork dishes were excellent and filling. The Apple sundae was so so soooo good. Priced slightly higher than a pub, but well worth the visit.
