Really good service. Nurses were fantastic. They made me so welcome.. The doctor who I saw even attached a letter to my mtf regarding my health issues. Great stuff. Excellent service. Clean and easy to find hospital if you going by public transport.
Waste of public money by con leader now retired?! Not a patch on the old hospital.A white elephant! seems to open and close when it wants! You can walk in and literally open doors anywhere! Very rarely desk has anyone on it! When first opened 5 / 6 reception staff! Only good thing is immaculately clean? Because not used! Xrays? Don't seem to do them now! A hospital with no beds?? Should be open all day to relieve stress off wythenshawe as their ae full of just bag heads and drunks! Making poorly people wait for hours to be seen! May as well turn it into office block!
My parents needed the Minor Injuries Unit last night, according to the internet it was open. When they arrived it was shut. So the opening times were incorrect, I feel this is a piece of information that is very important to keep up-to-date.
I have taken my children with minor Injuries to this hospital 3 times over the past 2-3 years. They are amazing. The longest time we had to wait 1 hour 30 minutes. Today we went to Macclesfield A&E first, because it was closer. They told us we have to wait 5 hours!!! So we went to Altringham and my son was seen in 1 hour 15 min, had treatment and we left in 1 hour 30 min. This hospital has 2 nice waiting areas. There are some toys for children, coffee and tea machine for about £1 a drink. And the quality of drinks is good. The hospital is extremely clean and the staff is polite and friendly.
Huge thanks to the two lovely ladies who took a very nervous me through my blood tests today. It was virtually painless and so quick! You really looked after me when you knew I was anxious - with all the pressure the NHS is under, to get that level of care for something so minor is just amazing. I come to this hospital every 6 months and I'm always blown away by how lovely everyone is, can't recommend it enough.
My wife and I would like to express how grateful we are for the wonderful way we were treated by the nursing staff working in the ophthalmology department. My wife is profoundly deaf as well as being sight impaired, so communication is both difficult and challenging, but she was treated with patience and kindness throughout the various tests she needed. They also went above and beyond in searching out and arranging a meeting with Henshaw's, which could provide us with valuable help managing my wife's communication problems, many thanks and best wishes.
I attended the ophthalmic department. I was very impressed with the building and cleanliness. Reception staff very polite and friendly, the nurses were very professional and advised what treatment they were doing. The consultant was very nice and explained everything. Really nice department. Would highly recommend.
Fell at home and cut head open on corner of wall.Made despise gash and this was on Thursday at 18.00. Manage to stem the bleeding by putting bandage on my head. Got to the hospital at 18.30 and was dealt most efficiently and sympathetically by Rebecca on A&E reception. Was seen within 30 minutes by a nurse who administered glue to the wound and thoroughly checked me over and made sure I was ok and checked with a doctor if I could go home as I am over 70 and live on my own.I made the decision to go home. I went back on Friday morning at 08.00 just to have the wound looked at as there was some oozing and a nurse put on some strips . All in all a very impressive performance by the hospital staff. Well done
Extremely disappointing. I work in the NHS myself and after finishing a busy clinic at 6.30pm should have finished at 4.30pm I came home to find my son had injured his wrist. I checked the Hospital web site for opening times which stated 8am-8pm. I arrived at 7.40pm to be told that it was to late for a consultation as the last one was at 7.30pm. Surely the website opening times should state the closing time is 7.30 to prevent wasted visits.
Made a few visits over the last couple of years. From a severed finger to dodgy knees popping out. Always found the place and the staff very pleasant. A decent fresh coffee on arrival wouldn't go a miss. Nibbles in the afternoon maybe?
