This place has picked up recently. I had couple of bad experience in past but last 2 accounts everything was perfect. Its the change in management i guess. Only problem is parking. Overall lovely food and nice location.
Nice food. Good sauces. Naan bread is up there with the best in Ireland. Staff where friendly and gave us 4 free drinks with our meal. Prices are brilliant considering it's in Dublin. Need to have hotter chilly sauce but that's the only issue I would have.
Food is great in this restaurant. I've tried the mixed grill and doner mix shwarma. Chicken dober is perfect but lamb is too chewy, almost no meat. Also kofte in the mix is not as tender as it should be, and steak is way too chewy. But food is very tasty nonetheless,and I would still recommend this place as it's probably the best in south.
I order a Kebsa with no nuts due to an allergy and i was told that it would be okay to order and continue with just the chicken and rice option, I also order 3 shawarma meals wraps wit no salad and i only got two with salad and a sharwarma tray. After i recieved the order i rang back to see if i could swap it and i had the worst customer experience ever with the so called manager “Ali”. I tried calling back but inwas rudely hung up on every time. I order ober 50 euro worth of food and only onr meal was correct and nothing been resolved.
Weird place but good food. Weird? Yea, customer service is not their main priority. They cook really good food though. They also have very good curries. Solid recommendation for the area.
This place is absolutely awful. I ordered my kebab and it took just under an hour to arrive. I then paid €34 for a chicken shish, lamb donner and couple of other bits and when I opened it, it didn’t even look like meat. The chips tasted as if they’d been reheated over and over then just left sitting on the side. The lamb donner was chewy and didn’t even taste like meat and I didn’t even try to chicken shish. I wouldn’t even feed it to my dog. When I called up to complain they were totally rude and ignorant and said there was nothing they could do. They also blamed me for the food being cold as the driver had apparently been sitting outside the house for an hour. This was humorous to me as I didn’t even get a knock on the door and the food wasn’t even ordered an hour ago. I asked to talk to their manager and they hung up. Absolutely vile and disgusting. Now I’m sitting at home very hungry and will not get a refund for this disgrace to order more food. Absolutely fuming would never recommend
Just had a fantastic lamb sish with chicken & lamb doner mix!! The meat was tasty & fresh salad and bread made in front of you. Friendly service & great food. Can’t ask for anything more!! I will be back again
Went to Altoon Dundrum yesterday and I wasn't impressed with the food. We ordered grilled chicken which was very burnt and they had given horrible pieces like the end part of the wings ribs etc which had very little meat on the bone and all that remained was the black burnt parts. I returned the whole plate and the staff was kind.enough to make me chicken KABAB without any extra cost.
Got a delivery via deliveroo for 5 people. Food arrived in trays, not wrapped up which was ideal as this is how I prefer to eat a kebab. Plenty of sauce too. Highly recommended and a great addition to Dundrum and surrounding areas.
Altoon Halal is alright. Had plenty of halal food both good and bad and this restaurant is in the middle. It is a regular take away with the regular halal food. The guys behind the counter are friendly and the interior is the usual cheap well lit late night semi dingy takeaway. The usual prices, menu, basically the usual everything.
