A nice large cemetery located in Alton Illinois. The grounds are nicely maintained. A pleasant mix of old and new markers. Take a second look around. There's much to see here.
When our son died suddenly in 2006 at the age of 21, they were very helpfull. They let us bury our son and waited for to be paid until we received his life insurance money.
Fun fact: The world's tallest man is buried in this Cemetery.
Don't take credit cards
So sad. My wife's family has 6 plots here. Breaks her heart when I take her out to decorate ans the grass is always overgrown
Been out there 3 times in 30 days grass not mowed. I don't know who they have running the cemetery. They doing a very bad job. But if you see it from Homer Adams it look nice. Drive thought it grass is 5 to 6 inches tall.
Absolutely a disgrace to have such a historic cemetery look like it does. Overgrown grass and weeds obscuring head stones and dead flowers left on graves. I'd like to know who runs this. Show more respect for the people buried here and clean it up!
