Visiting Alnwick Castle was an amazing experience. The castle’s old-style library, grand courtroom, and classic dining hall were truly impressive. Each room carried a timeless charm that made the entire visit feel like stepping into a historical storybook.
Superb day out for all of the family.nnStunning grounds, a real gem and more than enough to keep everyone interested for the day.nnObviously steeped in history.nnWould be worth multiple visits and your online pass remains valid for the whole year.
A stunningly well-preserved and maintained castle with various events held annually. The castle and grounds were used in the filming of various famous movies and tv series's. There is always something to do and see. The grounds also have a WW1 and WW2 history section separate to the castle. Even if history isn't for you, the well maintained grounds are perfect for a lovely walk.
Wonderful day out in the castle, Will definitely be back soon!nGot in early for the first lot of tours Wilson was great but later on we saw it does get very busy on the tours so walked around by ourselves, plenty to see and do.nnWould be nice to know what's happening and when ahead of time easier.
Sadly the castle grounds are closed during winter, but it was still amazing to see nonetheless. Parking around the area is easy to find and very cheap Free for 3 hours or £1 if you don’t have a parking disknnIf you are visiting from late October-March, I’d recommend walking through the pastures a short 15 minute walk across the lions bridge. There are multiple footpaths that let you overlook the castle grounds and have great views.nn100% worth the visit
