It’s not often I ever post on any review sites but on this occasion I felt the necessity to do so because of , yet again , the excellent advise , superb craftsmanship , competitive prices and fantastic customer after care. I initially asked Jonathan Horgan , a Director at United Carpets , for some advice regarding artificial turf suitable for my garden and 2 sprocker spaniels . He was able to recommend a product which you see my 2 dogs sat on and provided a highly competitive supply and fit price. However , as I was having other work done my own contractors were able to offer me the fitting of the artificial turf for free. Jonathan was able to offer me the product , without fitting, at a rate still better than my contractors. So I purchased it. I subsequently required an urgent quote to supply and fit a very unique bathroom flooring, following a leak, and my insurance company required a bona fide quote from an experienced and reputable company. I had no hesitation in contacting United Carpets at Doncaster and again Jonathan dealt with myself. He dealt with every aspect of the quotation and liaison with the insurers , taking away a considerable amount of pressure and stress from my wife and I , and Hey Presto new bathroom floor. 2 years ago I had a bedroom refit and didn't hesitate in going to United Carpets to browse a selection of their carpets. After settling on a carpet for the bedroom we were about to arrange fitting and Jonathan recognised us as returning customers. He immediately provided us with an upgrade to the underlay without any increase in cost. The fitters were excellent. They were quick and tidy and when asked if they could refit an area of living room carpet for us , which the dogs had removed , they did so without hesitation and refused to take payment. So I write this review because as we speak Jonathan is providing more advise and quality samples of artificial turf for some work at my Dads on my recommendation. Something I wouldn’t do if I wasn’t 100% satisfied with quality workmanship , quality products and top class customer service. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend United Carpets at Doncaster to anyone. Where possible ask for Jonathan. He maybe busy but he will always make the time and effort to help and advise. Cheers.

really nice member of staff. we have a stairlift and alot of companies didnt want to even discuss fitting these were great said they can fit it even tho we have paid a little more because it will take alot more time which i didnt mind at all it was still cheaper than paying to have stairlift took out and put back in again

Appalling service. Following 8 weeks of being messed about for a fitting date and having to pay an extra £100 for ply wood to go under my vinyl flooring which was never mentioned at point of sale I was forced into putting in a complaint with United Carpets customer service. However the complaint was passed back to the highly unprofessional management at the Doncaster branch to deal with. The not-so-charming Jonathan called me back with a stinking attitude to ask why I'd put the complaint in...as if I'd done something wrong! Following numerous disagreements I reluctantly agreed to pay the £100 and for the fitting to take place a week later... I was tired of all the hassle and the waiting. However 2 days before the fitting was due to take place Jonathan called out of the blue to say he'd cancelled the fitting altogether. He said he knew I'd never go back to United so had other customers he'd rather get fitted instead. Shocked, I rang customer services to complain for the 2nd time only for the complaint to again go back to the Doncaster branch. I asked for the Director at Doncaster to deal with it...but again I didn't get passed the charming Jonathan. United Carpets had my money so didn't care. Therfore I was left without a fitter. Fortunately after a week of ringing round I finally sourced one. The crazy thing was, had I not complained I would have eventually got my flooring fitted. Complaining made matters worse. What sort of company is this?? I will go to Wilsons Carpets next time. They have their own fitters and do not act as an agent for local fitters.
Good selection of carpets at reasonable prices.
Been here a few times. Always friendly. Good offers. Senisble prices. Definately recommend. The roll ends offer excellant value as well.
