I am not surprised this place has 1 star reviews. The way the staff speak to you here is absolutely disgusting, they have no manners, and just look down on you. The full lot need to get their attitude sorted! The place has been like this for years and by the looks of things is never going to change. Also, they never seem to have prescriptions sorted out, they’re always blaming the GP surgery for their own problems and while they’re at it, they have you waiting about half an hour to only tell you they haven’t got a certain item in. Avoid this place.
Absolutely appalling. Took almost an hour waiting in the freezing cold to be served - with several people ahead of me who’d been waiting longer. Had to ring the surgery to ask someone to go through and see what was happening. The pharmacy staff were quite aggressive / defensive saying that we’d not rung the bell we had, several times and denied having come out once to ask the lady at the front of the queue her name- before disappearing, never to be seen again. No apology and made to feel as if it was somehow our fault. I’ve also had a woman from here with a voice louder than Foghorn Leghorn bellow a question about my medical history and use of contraception across a crowded waiting room, pre-COVID. Not exactly professional, to say the very least.
I feel I have to first say, I am 70, diabetic with multiple sclerosis, osteoarthritis, orthostatic hypertension and BPPV. During lock down my husband went to collect my meds and it was suggested by a member of pharmacy staff that I have them delivered, which we did. Initially it seemed not too bad, I’d order my meds and they would arrive three days later, though I never received sharps boxes I had ordered. When this was mentioned I got the four that had been languishing on your shelves!!! Sadly there have been a few issue over the last few month, there appears to be little consistency in the time between meds request going in and the delivery, initially it seemed to be order meds, eg on a Tuesday, delivery Friday. Then a few weeks ago I ordered on Wednesday 07th April so I thought Monday 12 th delivery. I had an hospital appointment on the morning of 9th April and when we came home there was a rather snotty note, written in red pen! It said that we weren’t in when they brought my tablets, and if we did that again we would be “taken off the list!” I rang and explained why we were out and that I had no way of knowing they would be delivered a day earlier than my previous experience had been. They were delivered either later that day or the following Monday, I’m not sure now. The next time I ordered my full meds on thursday 22 nd April. We then had the opportunity to go away for a few days, so on Monday 26th April, at nine am, nI rang the pharmacy to explain that we weren’t at home , not to deliver, we would get them collected on our return. The woman I was speaking to said, and I quote, “They wouldn’t be delivered anyway because you’ve been taken off the list”. I was so taken back by the surly way this woman spoke to me that I just said “Ok, we’ll pick them up” That brings me to this week. I ordered a repeat of Tramadol on Tuesday 25th May as we are going away and I won’t have enough to last till I come back. I didn’t want to tempt fate by waiting to see if they would be delivered so I rang the pharmacy to ask if the prescription was ready and I was told that they hade received the prescription yesterday morning, and that it might be on the van for delivery, so I asked her to check please. She came back and said that no, it’s wasn’t on the van it was on the shelf and I told her my husband would collect it, which he did. However, when he asked if they had stopped delivering to me, the shop assistant, or whoever, said that the had tried to deliver the tablets but there was nobody in. My husband informed her that we had not been across the doors for the last two days and nobody had been. She went to “check”, came back and said “yes, it’ll be written on the back of the packet” there was nothing written on it, she said that it must be “on the drivers sheet”. I apologise for this rather long diatribe, and here are my points 1. The tablets had not been on the van, they were on a shelf when I rang the pharmacy. 2. There was no slip of paper from the driver for a failed delivery. 3. The assistant lied to us, very unprofessional and not a way to conduct a service 4. She suggested my husband was lying about not being out. 5 There is no information re when your meds will be delivered. Eg, text message, message on patient access 6. Something must be sadly wrong within your staff team that causes so many of them to be unpleasant, patronising, surly and disrespectful. 7. I have always been pleasant, polite and patient when using your pharmacy but have often felt that the staff behave in quite a passive aggressive manner or just couldn’t be bothered. I am very disappointed because with a bit of care and enthusiasm you could have an excellent service, but sadly it’s hard to make a silk purse from a sows ear. I will no longer require your supposed service and unfortunately I have nothing to thank you for.
If you like being talked down to or not at all by most of the staff and you like to go back for your tablets two to three times or my case four, and it took them five days to do it, this is the place for you.
Diabolical service. Constant queues as this little pharmacy can't cope with the number of customers it receives from the GP surgery next door
The new premises is so much better and very efficiently run , good customer service
Have improved a lot over the last few months. Meds now ready within two days and staff very pleasant and efficient
So rude seriously supposed to be careing I think not need to have a staff meeting on being polite.
The people who work in here should do a customer service course. Rude, aggressive & uncaring.
Very small pharmacy but very quick turnaround with a friendly staff.
