Wonderful group of people who are very welcoming, inclusive, and kind. They are very out reach and missions oriented. The church is highly involved with the local homeless ministry as well as many others. The youth group is stable and encouraging. For me personally, the liturgy can be a little overwhelming. It is a blend of contemporary along with a very strong Anglo-Catholic flavor. That is my one personal drawback. But for those who don't mind that, this would probably be the perfect church. For the most part, the worship is actually worshipful. I do wish the music director wouldn't be so wedded to the liturgical scriptures for the week. There seem to be a number of songs where the music team is not completely comfortable with the melody, and that the congregation has never heard before. It is important to have some new songs. But too many of them without repeating seems counter productive. What is interesting though, despite this rather basic worship leading no-no, the worship still send to happen to the point that one can sense the Lord's presence anyway.
It's one of the best church in this town. Although it's a average size of the place. They have 2 floors. The top one and the bottom. The first floor has 3 services morning and afternoon. The bottom one has one service. Not so many people there. Only the top one has more folks then the lower one. Because years ago it use to be large busy folks there. Those were great decent times. Not anymore because ever since that one lady got married to the pastor, everyone became very bug out about. That make they don't want to go there anymore. So do I. Back then 2015, 2016, and winter and spring of 2017, it use to be around 20 or 30 people attending the lower service. That's before the pastor married. My friends and I use to have interest in their worship. They had kids go to the children service to play around and compet for service. Unroll around fall of 2017, the yong lady and the pastor got engaged everybody band themselves form going there. Including me. I may go for only temporary times now like 1 time of the year. The only best service I and others attend to is the top service. It's the best one. And that's that.
Warm '& Welcoming and the Pastor personally stands by the door after service to personally shake people's hands as they leave. Always have activities that will keep a Christian busy and not being the devil's work tool.
My friend, the Rev. Scott Bailey has become the new rector of this thriving church community. Perusing their website and newsletters, I would opt to attend if I lived there.
Come join us for a Spirit filled worship among loving folks, a welcoming atmosphere, and Christ centered teaching.
