What to say! ...Andy is by far the "go to guy" for all things mechanical. Diagnosed precisely the problem then went on and fixed a transmission fault on my X3 without issue. Professional and honest... Kept me informed at every stage of the work and advised accurately on required work and costings. Don’t waste your time looking around, trust local. Andy has a wealth of experience and is very professional. Try them, you won’t be disappointed.
Recently had a problem with my Ford Ranger gearbox and having literally been left by the dealer it was purchased from and the Ford Motor Co to sort it out my self I was very fortunate to locate All Engineering Services and Andrew in Maud. He replied to my initial email very quicklysame evening knew without even seeing the car what was wrong, kept in touch throughout as regards the availability of their courtesy car and when I could take mine in and during the repair process which took just over a week. All in all very impressive service in every way I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
It's so good to find a garage that has the skill and ability to fix a problem, not just replace the part. Thanks Andrew! I had a couple of problems with my Land Rover Evoque. A small oil leak from between the gearbox and transfer box and a noise from the rear diff. Of course LR were happy to say it needs a new gearbox and diff so after expecting a journey south, I was delighted to find Andrew. He was great on the phone, did not over promise, provided a great if a little old car to keep me going and ultimately investigated, diagnosed and fixed the problems. I even got some photos so I could see what he found. I don't hesitate to recommend this garage.
Date 6Aug2020 - My Jeep Grand Cherokee gave me a shower of warning lights re AWD, transmission, ABS etc.. But, as with my Volvo a couple of years back, AllEngineering got it sorted. Rapid diagnosis based on real knowledge and experience not just a list of error codes. Kept me informed. Quick turnround. Thanks Andrew !. Wish I could give more than 5 stars ! Volvo XC70 - diff noise - Was all set to drive south to Glasgow or Sheffield and stay overnight somewhere to get a rear diff fixed on my Volvo. But came across AllEngineering while searching the web for gearbox and transmission repairs. Met up with the owner, Andy. Very pleasant and extremely knowledgeable. A real gentleman. He diagnosed the problem straightaway and rebuilt the diff with new bearings and seals. His pricing was very fair and he completed the job over a few days and even provided a courtesy car old..but good!. He even took the time to call and mail during the job to let me know how it was going. Incredibly good service in very stark contrast to dealerships. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Fantastic service. Andrew really cares about his customers and doing the best he can for them. Fixed a hard to diagnose problem with our XC60 Auto box which Volvo Inverness couldn't not sure they tried all that hard actually, just charged us a lot and said it was fixed but might go wrong again, which it did after about 200yds. Andrew on the other hand put in the time and effort to diagnose the problem, fix it and then thoroughly test it. And to top it all, called us a week later to check that all was well. And the cost? Let's just say that if Volvo's charges are a suprise, so are Andrews - a really good surprise. Just a shame he only only really specializes in gearboxes otherwise we'd go there for everything. If you have transmission problems and live within fifty or more if you like miles of Maud, well, now you know where to go!
One of the few places where they know what they are talking about.
