Ordered direct from the Ali Baba website, were told our food would be 40 mins. An hour and a half later we called them and a very rude member of staff just kept saying “WHAT” when we asked how much longer our delivery would be, eventually told 5 mins, obviously that’s all he can say! Another 20 mins later , food arrived ok , but chicken in the currys very tough and had obviously been reheated. We didn’t eat this , but both my husband and I have been ill through the night, food poisoning symptoms. With the prices they charge you expect quality food. Furious we wasted our money and are both ill.
I waited to get my food before commenting smart move on my part. So here we go, I rang to place an order and a man answered the phone and started taking my address detail. He then said oh one minute and I could hear talking. Then another man picked up The phone and after about 6 seconds he just said, yeh what do ya want. He asked for my address and postcode and was taking my order, he was so abrupt I’ve not quite spoken to anyone as rude and abrupt like him. This is the last time I eat from their as the rice and potatoes had about as much taste as dish water. They certainly need to teach staff to be pleasant to the customer

Ordered our food at 6.40pm with a delivery time of 1 hrs 20mins. Its now 8.40pm 2 hours later and our food is still at least 20 mins away. Gonna need to be amazing to be worth the wait but at the moment won't be ordering from Ali Babas again for a long time. Have been a loyal customer for 10 years +. Guess Uber eats, Just Eat and Deliveroo customers get priority over loyal customers. Its now 9.09pm and still no food. Called again and told 5 mins. Wonder if we will ever get our food. Please don't waste your time ordering from Ali Babas if you want to eat. Shame they use to be so good. Food finally arrived at 9.20pm. No freebies and just a basic apology sorry we are busy. Will NOT be ordering again
Ordered through Just Eat, delivered on time. Best Vindaloo I've had in years, had a slight Phal taste to it. Mopped the plate clean with my Naan, THAT GOOD!!! Will definitely order again.
Ali Babas is my mainstay. I love this place. Nothing fancy but good traditional well cooked food always. So many places are good for a first time order and make the effort or not but Ali's always deliver the same good food. Thank you
Not sure why others are complaining - we ordered 2 meals for home 2 days ago. They delivered faster than originally told, and it was hot as well as 'hot' curry-wise. The meals were delicious, and we will definately be ordering again from them soon. The web-site/ordering was easy, and you get phone/e-mail notifications throughout. Well done Alibaba :
Ordered different meals for 3 of us to celebrate my birthday last week Delivered v quickly, however the food was bland bordering on tasteless. very disappointing. The meal was not cheap so will not be using again! Also - since when has brussels sprout been an ingredient in a curry?
Food arrived on time, both dinners were lovely, my veggie baji was delicious
