Nice store layout / parking.nnRecently the level of customer service isn’t good. On a Saturday evening there are no tills open, and the staff just expect you to use the self checkout I don’t work for Aldi. When you ask for a till to be open, the response from staff is terrible and slow to say the least.nnStaff just talk constantly on their headsets and don’t even acknowledge customers. I actually think the headsets are a great idea but not when they are used to be ignorant. Have a laugh with your colleagues but address customers at the same time.nnPlenty to improve on.
Usually I love Aldi but Often in this store I notice that checkout staff members do not respond when trying to initiate the conversation. For first few visits I thought may be staff member had a bad day but often they talk easy with people before and after me in the queue. Glad that now they have self check outs. May be some training on how to make everyone feel welcoming?
No longer sell their own cheapy lemonade at this store, or the lemon squash or the orange and pineapple squash they call summer/seasonal in the square bottles.nThe big pack of rump steak that was £9.99 is now £12.99. That's such a jump in only a few weeks.nTheir single £1.89 plants or the 6x pack all petunias that were outside had been watered while in full sun, so no coming back. I'm not impressed at all today. I even noticed a cage full of cardboard sitting in front of the fire doors at the top of the store. I was at the Atherstone store yesterday and lovely as ever. Shelves being filled, smiles on faces. No cages blocking stock, etc.
Great place to shop for good quality stuff at reasonable prices
Assistant not pleasant did manage a quite thank you on giving change but seemed reluctant. Not the right shop for her
