It was my first visit since Aldi put in the self-service or scan & go checkouts . They need to rename these to 'scan, wait for ages, then go' . Talking to other shoppers & a few staff members, they avoid using these due to them being so slow, stating the normal checkouts as being much quicker to use, so come on, Aldi bigwigs... get it sorted.nOtherwise, the experience was good, with great value products and friendly, helpful staff.
Great place to shop, well stocked, and always good value. Staff are very friendly. Very quick checkout, with queues kept to a minimum.
Easy to get around, plenty of signage. Just had myself a bloomin lovely chicken, ham and truffle sandwich. Would recommend
The store at Hereford was good. They had 3 checkouts in operation as well as the scan your own system. Unlike Cheltenham branch, who force you to use self scanning by closing all the checkouts. Bloody stupid and my wife and I will no longer use Cheltenham. We are not being forced to do what we don't want to do. The store should provide at least one checkout at all times!!!!!!
I do like Aldi products and their prices are very good. However I'm not so keen on this branch, a few years ago they moved a lot of the stuff around and I still struggle to find certain things. Prefer the Ross shop. There's the usual opening and closing of tills, often resulting in long queues. Plus there is no social distancing, as someone who is still concerned about COVID 19 I don't feel terribly comfortable. Plenty of free parking, part of the car park is on an incline, take care if using a shopping trolley. Staff seem polite.
