I recently visited Lidl and had a very disappointing experience. I used the self-checkout and purchased an item marked with a 30% discount, but the discount wasn’t applied. I only realised this after paying, and by that point, the receipt time had expired, so I couldn’t retrieve one.nnI approached a staff member at the checkout, who told me to go to Till 2. After waiting there, the staff member at Till 2 told me to go back to the first person for help. It felt like they were just passing me around, and neither of them seemed interested in resolving the issue.nnAfter wasting my time with no solution, I decided to walk off. I ended up paying full price for an item that was supposed to be discounted. This experience has put me off shopping at Lidl. I’ll be sticking to Asda from now on—they’re far more reliable. Really disappointed!

Finally Aldi has arrived in Dewsbury. Decent size, not the biggest but will do. The self service scanners need to be sorted out as they can’t detect the weight of products properly.

Pretty cheap place for what they offer, awesome sandwich fillers and decently priced bathroom products

Aldi is always a brilliant store spotless clean, plenty of helpful staff who go the extra mile for customers.nLove their products plus fresh fruit and vegetables. Give it a go
