Fairly straightforward shopping experience even for someone like me who rarely does the weekly shop. I wasn't impressed with the freshness of the fruit and vegetables, oranges in particular. Staff were helpful and friendly.
Be aware if you’re disabled/pregnant/have young children that this specific Aldi has its own ‘rule’ that trolleys cannot use the self checkout regardless of whether you’re only buying a couple of items. Ableism at its finest. There are no signs to indicate and you will simply be aggressively told by the delightful Nicole ‘I make the rules and run the show around here, we don’t need signs as it’s common sense’ and will shout at people for daring to go against this invisible, common sense ‘rule’ in front of their babies/young children and reduce vulnerable people to tears. Retraining needs to happen pronto and staff need to get over their power trips. If this is a rule make a sign!
Used to be good like all Aldis.nSelf checkouts are terrible and cause errors on every second item. Lucky to find one person on the tills. Most people are in for a big shop. I spend more time waiting to pay than actually shopping since this change. I may stop shopping here if this continues as waiting for an eternity to check out or trying to put a week's shopping through a small malfunctioning self checkout is ridiculous.
I am writing to express my disappointment with the customer service I received at your store this morning. I visited specifically to purchase Barbie vet station, which, as advertised, was supposed to be available in-store starting today. However, when I asked a member of your staff for assistance in locating the item, they were dismissive and seemed unwilling to help.nRather than checking stock or attempting to locate the item, the staff member informed me that it was likely unavailable without further effort to confirm. This response was frustrating, as I had come to the store specifically for this item, based on the advertised availability.nI understand that staff may have busy moments, but I believe that a minimum level of assistance and customer support should always be provided. I left the store feeling disappointed and without the item I was eager to purchase.nI hope this feedback is helpful, and I would appreciate it if you could ensure that staff members are encouraged to make a reasonable effort to assist customers in the future. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
I'd give it 5 if it kept the food range, my favourite foods disappear. My favourite cheesecake, carrot cake, vegan kebab, kebab bread & more.
