Have just received a fine from parkingeye! However I did enter my car details and verified that yes this was my car! How does that work?nI was also displaying a disabled blue badge! Appeal has been forwarded but I somehow doubt it will work. Money making scam!
As with ALDI you know what you get and this store is no different. It is set out the same but there is one MAJOR difference now with the one in West Kirby than there used to be. As we are not 'regulars' at this particular store we don't know how long they have had car number plate recognition but the last time we visited probably summer they didn't! The signs for the 'Parking Eye' are NOT obvious as you are entering the car park and turning left to park your car,but ALSO as you walk to the store, entrance there is NO signage either. You will notice 'tablet like' screens where you pack your shopping away and then a tiny sign nearly on the floor as you exit asking you input your car details. If you don't go back in and 'confirm' that your car is indeed in their carpark then expect a hefty fine in the post from Parking Eye and believe me,from experience, a claim against it will NOT be successful! So please, please if you are visiting for the first time take my advice and input your details, although I think ALDI themselves should make it more clear to customers in-store asto this potential 'stealth' fine
Make sure you register when you park, it’s the first time I went to this Aldi and the one that I used to shop doesn’t require any register as long as you leave in 90 mins. However, this one requires you to register your car. I believe this is just a strategy for the car park company to steal more money from the public. Even tho I explain and show the evidence that I did went to shopping in Aldi but they still fine me because of this special rules. Absolute disgusting.
I have been coming here for years. I love the store and the staff and would definitely recommend it to everyone. The only thing that stops me giving 5 stars is the continuous stock of half dead or dying plants outside. I have been known to buy some to 'rescue' them. If they could water the stock to keep them looking healthy I would be a lot happier. Don't forget to key in your car reg to stop getting a fine but if you forget like I have once, the staff are brilliant and will 'sort it' for you
