Pretty decent store clean, tidy plenty of parking. Very helpfull friendly staff. I do not like self-service tills, but they are available for use. I recommend this store as it is in a good location
Shopped at Aldi for years. The food is great. The shop is laid out nicely. Today, went, as usual to get the weekly shop on Sunday morning as a lot of people are. Very disappointed to see there were no ‘manned’ tills despite the amount of shopping we had. We went to the busy self service area to see a number of staff. We started to scan. A female, who looked like she was in charge, helped as the items weren’t scanning as the bags hadn’t been logged properly on the machine. I asked why there weren’t any tills open. She said we could request a till be open. We’d been through the rigmarole of getting to the till and setting up. We clearly had a lot of shopping and don’t know why she didn’t immediately invite us to a till. Not wanting to appear awkward we started scanning. We had at least 20 items which weren’t bagged or scanned properly. There wasn’t enough room on the bagging area and the same member of staff had to authorise us taking bags off. What a complete pain from start to finish. Both of us were completely stressed as we left the store. If this is a new policy by Aldi not to man tills we will be shopping elsewhere from now on. We totally understand self service for smaller amounts though.
Love the self checkouts, so much quicker than home bargains and Lidl if you only have a few items. Well done Aldi!
Great new shop loads of parking, single malt whiskey £17.99 and it good
Found all I wanted but self service tills were all that was available, the staff member spent most of the time sorting out the tills being used because it came up call for assistance so I found it no quicker.
