Welcome to this famous supermarket to Gemini Retail Park. It can enrich the diversities of this popular shopping area and provide more cheap items to the residents nearby. The new shop is quite large and well decorated. The layout of products is similar to other branches. As usual, you can find lots of discounted items in the middle aisles of the shop. One of the most important features is that there are a number of self-service tills that can reduce the waiting time of payment. Highly recommended
Just opposite IKEA, I popped in and was greatly impressed! The freshest fruit and veg produce I have seen in any ALDI. Store exceptionally neat and tidy. Staff helpful and friendly. My only wish is that it was closer to where I live !!!
Limited range of products. They have a couple of aisles of so called special products. Problem is they change regularly so if you like something, it may not be available in your next visit.nnAnother annoyance is the staff seem to be on private phone calls constantly. Every time you speak with a staff member, their attention is divided between you and their friend on the phone and whoever is in the phone is listening to you talking to the staff member. Highly unprofessional and unpleasant for the customer.
Great store but just make sure you check the dates on products. I made the mistake of getting 2 items home which were several days out of date. Might be teething problems with it being a new store but it's not great. They do need to have a least one till open not just self checkouts as it gets a bit hectic in the self checkout area due to its size. Staff seem nice though.
Firstly I will say my 3* review is for the checkout situation. I am a huge fan of self scan and self checkout when the situation is suitable, for example 20 items or less BUT twice now with a large trolley full of my weekly shop I have been made to use self scan. Yesterday there were around 3 of us made to do this. I asked for common sense purposes why a till could not be opened, as they were all closed, and I was told the staff weren't allowed and we all had to use self scan. This inevitably lead to the self scan aisle being blocked at which point 2 tills were opened and folk with minimum items used these. Myself and the 3 other trolley shoppers had to endure an age trying to check out whilst my fellow basket shoppers sailed through the tills. This situation which in my mind is clearly for self scan figures for management needs to be re looked at. I would happily scan and go like at other supermarkets so why not think about using that scheme Aldi??nNow, the store itself is clean, wide aisled and now has a good choice and range of products.
