Aldi is on level par with Lidl in my opinion, but on Google apparently Asda is the least expensive national chain. But with me relying on a long bus journey from home or a expensive taxi it's not necessarily a shopping option for my family.
Baker St High Wycombe Aldi. Be aware that you will get a parking fine if you do not register your car in store! The parking signage is woefully inadequate at informing you of this! Late December 2023 in the dark and freezing rain I missed any notice of a pending fine, neither in the car park or in store and ended up receiving a £70 fine because I was away when the first notice arrived. I paid in a panic but won the appeal. It took 7 months for the money to be returned.nI was spending over 10k a year at Aldi but this incident made me see them in a different light. Be aware.
I advise people to avoid shopping in this particular store, you switch off one second & you end up getting a £70 fine and I think the owners of this store are complicit in this matter since they do nothing about it, their customers are the last thing in their business & mind
Very nice clean and well stocked up store.nA very good selection of fresh and produce items.nIf there was a click and collect service I would have used this service very much however unfortunately the store only had normal tills.nnOn this visit the queues was so long at the checkout I was disappointed with only 3 tills open and 30 minutes wait before i was serviced.nnThe staff was nice and polite when servicing.nnImprovement needed would be more checkouts to be opened during lunchtimes and Express tills or self service tills for less then 10 items in a basket.nnI had to wait 30 minutes at the counter as there were only 3 tills open out of the 12 they had.nnI really hope they can improve and open more tills as I would love to go back many more times.
Don't shop here, if you fail to notice a special terminal to enter your license plate number while you shop, you get a letter with a GBP 70 fine! Never seen this system before at Aldi, that is extremely expensive shopping. I find this method to be a revolting business model. From reviews, I can see that many people fall into this trap. Most shops have other methods to ensure sure non-shoppers don't park.
