After reading some rather disturbing reviews about the security, I decided to take my family shopping to this branch, it was reasonably quiet with plenty of isle space, the staff were very helpful and not in the least rude. I decided to ask the security guard where the toilets were and he kindly guided us to the toilet.nAt no point during this shopping trip did I feel uncomfortable or unwelcome.nThe food is of great quality and very reasonably priced, overall this is a great supermarket situated on the Crown wharf shopping centre.
Well its finally here, Aldi in Walsall! And about time to! Lovely big store with nice wide aisles.nEverything you could ever need for your home and food and drink all under 1 roof. First day opening very busy all day long, im sure this will quieten down as time goes. All the usual favourites, food on the go, super 6 and the special buy aisles. One bonus of this store is the new self checkout tills which speed things up. Parking is only free for the first hour and only if you spend £10 or more but i think theres a concession at the moment as the store finds it'snFeet few fun and games this evening watching the shoplifters usual suspects get caught by the excellent work of the security guard and the staff supporting him. Ill be shopping here every week!
The security guard is very intimidating and very rude. Yesterday I had a very frustrating experience at Aldi that has left me hesitant to shop there again. After purchasing items during a second visit to the store, my wife and I were stopped by the security guard who insisted on checking our bags. We explained that we had paid and showed the transaction on my phone while searching for the receipt. A staff member named Luke then questioned whether the items matched the amount shown on my phone and began rescanning everything, causing further delays. When we eventually found the receipt and proved we had paid correctly, neither the security guard nor Luke apologised for the inconvenience and embarrassment they caused. The entire situation was handled unprofessionally, with the security guard not even monitoring the entrance or cameras properly, making this experience both stressful and disappointing. The way we were treated was unprofessional and left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome.
With regards to the video circulating on YouTube. Your security guard is carrying out illegal activities on your behalf, by law they aren't allowed to search someone's belongings without their permission, which your security guard is clearly seen grabbing a customers bag and trying to search it which is illegal, as even the police need evidence before carrying out such a search, the security team are also seen assaulting the customer who is in the process of leaving the store.Again an illegal actnThis isn't an isolated incident at this store or with the same security guard. Having visited the store on previous occasions, you have now lost a customer.
Been in before and never had any issues but tonight at around 8pm the woman had blocked off the whole self check isle saying the you can’t come in with more than 20 items my food was in a basket. The most annoying factor about it is that you could just tell she couldn’t be bothered to work hence why she was blocking it off for people not to use. I have never had any issues with the self check tills in any of the other stores and use this to avoid cross contamination as someone with food allergies. Absolutely appalling service
