I’ve been going to this store every week for the past two years, and the fruits and veggies are always super fresh. But here’s the secret—go on Saturday evenings if you are someone who shop your groceries on weekends. That’s when they restock for Sundays, so you get the freshest picks!
Asked a member of staff very slim longish hair in her 40s/ 50s where the sweets were,screamed at me ‘aisle 5’ I didn’t hear her as she turned her back when she said it so I apologised and said excuse me sorry I didn’t hear.Came up to me in a very threatening manner and screamed in my face AISLE 5!!!!!!nHorrible,aggressive,vile behaviour!!!!nThe staff are lovely in this store.Maybe this member has some mental health issues or other issues but then don’t be on the shop floor.
This is my favourite Aldi store to visit. The staff members are always so helpful and polite, they have absolutely no problem with helping their customers. William is absolutely fantastic. I was very embarrassed when I didn’t have enough money and had to give him some of the items back, he didn’t make me feel like I’d caused a problem, he didn’t make me feel embarrassed and was extremely understanding.nnHowever, someone needs to be watching the customers in the car park. I know it’s not ‘illegal’ to park in parent and child spaces without a child/disability badge BUT this is the worst store for it, 9 times out of 10 I can’t get parked in parent and child and that’s because someone who’s too lazy couldn’t find somewhere else to park. I’ve turned around and left before due to this.
I’m now a total Aldi convert, the St Albans store is big enough to have everything I want, but not so big that I buy things that I don’t need. The food quality is really good and the value is excellent. Plus the staff are always really helpful and friendly.
What a way to start the weekend... Being racially profiled as a shoplifter when I just popped in to get a few bits after work and not for the first time.nI am sick of this mentality and then to be met with such a condescending response from the deputy manager and then the store manager who I saw laughing with the member of staff about it as I walked out.nI am disgusted and will NOT be visiting this site again. To then have the manager tell me we had someone shoplifting today doesn't mean everyone does that!? I've been behind any customers on other visits who are not asked to have their bag checked, so either be consistent or be honest!nCheck all bags not just ones someone is carrying. I am livid at the treatment!
