Went today with my working dog/assistance dog now under the equalities act 2010 it is illegal to refuse access to someone with a assistance dog we went in and bought a couple items as we was leaving I was stopped by a very rude woman who worked on the tills who told me I had to leave with my dog as they don’t allow dogs after explaining she is a assistance dog and clearly you could see this as it was in big letters on her was not easy to miss this she then proceeded to say that even assistance dogs aren’t allowed in I tried explaining that is illegal but apparently this woman thought she knew better and said it wasn’t illegal obviously this is she said If I don’t leave she will have to get her manager so I said go get them whilst waiting for the manager she was making laughs and jokes about it oh it’s above my pay grade the manager can deal with this whilst laughing about it with another customer when the manager came over who was no where near us I explained that the woman said what she said and that she even said service dogs aren’t allowed in the manager was like no she never even thought the manager was not any where near this incident she tried palming me off with a apology this situation got me agitated which my dog had picked up on this and she got agitated it’s wrong don’t have people working there if they have the people skills of a rock and don’t have people as managers that look like they have just left uni especially when they have no idea on how to handle customers with special needs etc disgusting absolutely disgusting your working in a store where there is lots of customers which involve people skills and communication learn to communicate without making laughs and jokes about customers and learn not to interrupt people when they are speaking disgusting il be getting in touch with the right people about this as like I said to both people it’s illegal to refuse entry to someone with a assistance dog I would strongly suggest your staff be educated on the equalities act 2010 before they try causing a scene
Very friendly staff. I bought a super glue and I came home, super glue was not in the box and I did not have the receipt to prove it, but when I told the person who was at the self checkout, gave me another one free. Thank you ALDI for trusting me.
Feedback – Aldi, Longridge StorennI visited the Aldi store in Longridge recently and was disappointed with the experience. The fruit and vegetable section was poorly stocked — many of the stalls were empty, and what was available looked old and unappealing. Some vegetables were soft and squashed, and the peppers were leaking from their packaging.nnAdditionally, I encountered an issue at the tills. One till showed a green light, indicating it was open, so I began to unload my shopping there. However, the staff member suddenly told me the till was closed and placed a “closed” sign up. She then continued to chat with a colleague, whom she served as a customer, all while glancing at me as if to gauge my reaction. This felt quite unprofessional and uncomfortable.nnI hope this feedback is taken constructively, as I normally enjoy shopping at Aldi and would like to see improvements at the Longridge branch.
Aldi once saved Christmas so I don't have a harsh word to say. staff here friendly and chirpy, on the whole, despite often busy shifts. It's Aldi, so don't expect the full range of options, but I always find 90% of what I needed. Staff will help with Trolleys if you don't have a coin. Plenty parking even at busy times.
Reasonable prices for everyday grocery and home decor a great place to shop but they need to work on their customer services skills
