Nice , clean spacious inside, plenty of parking outside too.
Aldi isn't a shop I go to regularly but when I do I always come out with more than I went in for, some of there grocery department are a lot cheaper than the big stores. The middle isle has some really good bargains which I've had a few of are really good and fairly cheap, the quality of the middle isles is very good as well.
Have to compliment 2 male members of staff at the Water Lane York store who went above and beyond to look for some items I couldn't find. One even managing to catch me at the tills after he had gone searching in the store room for what I had wanted. Wish I had got the names of these two gentlemen. First class service - and first class products. Well done Aldi.
Lovely shop, plenty of walk around space, nice and cool, plenty of produce, staff friendly and helpful
Family trip out Sun 25th Feb to stock up on a few items. It was a somewhat busier store, as I expected, than four weeks ago after work. Although busier, we still found plenty of parking available, even for a mid afternoon. I did have to chuckle to myself as regards their wheelie baskets. They are convenient and large should you not need use of a regular shopping trolley, but you do have to watch your step, not to trip over them, or get in each other's way. Very much like trying to avoid a crowd of kindergartens about your feet. Nevertheless, they do the job amicably. The basket was getting fullish, and had need to buy a bottle of Reprobate, a red shiraz wine, as recommended by a colleague. It's Aldi's own 19 Crimes which I'm familiar with, so a comparison challenge has been set. Well having used the self checkout for the first time which was a 'breeze', I was pleased to see a total price of £28 come up. Once again, Aldi, I am impressed, and happy to tick more boxes for product and service. Very good.
