Much better than Lidl, more space, but not having an on site bakery and a nightmare car park let's it down. Queues in and out of the car park, might settle down when it's not so new. Space inside is great and many tills open on a Saturday afternoon. Quite a good product range but as mentioned they don't seem to bake their own bread on site.nNow offering Sourdough sliced and plenty of par-baked breads.nGetting better at their plant based products for veggies/vegans.nOne thing to watch is that they change their product ranges quite frequently, so for example, you might get used to buying the same frozen garlic baguettes, but then the next week they only have garlic slices.nCan get very busy at times.nAs of 30/6/2023 there is no longer a click and collect service here!n25/07/2023 Aldi seem to be adding different food products to their range and some of these are a bit more upmarket/adventurous which is very welcome.
I was served by lovely lady the name of Lesley .nThe energy of this lady came across so genuine, it was extremely busy and she had just had what I would say a very rude and awkward customer before me . She acted professionally and calmly and still had energy for a smile and a laugh for my Wife and I . It's not something you see much now in supermarket .nKeep the good work up !!
Plastic baskets are always filthy.nSelf tills seem to be limited due to not working.nFreezer section Is limited.nnMain reason I quit shopping there is its not cheap anymore!nnAlso, needs restyling like M&S did in the 90's
I am a regular customer at Aldi, Tonbridge and I am always very pleased with my food shopping there. The staff are very helpful and polite. Thomas is very helpful and always has a lovely smile for everyone. Daisy helped me out when I forgot my purse and I was so appreciative of her super kindness and lovely manner, so a well deserved 5* for Daisy. They are both an absolute credit to Aldi.
Great selection of off-brand products. Most aren't far off of the real thing. Especially like the vive drinks range. Always well stocked and most importantly cheap. Why shop elsewhere?
