This is a huge outdoor, unheated pool. Sections of the pool, which is an irregular shape, are divided into slides/splash area, an area for families, and a section for lane swimming. The outdoor pool is part of a leisure centre with indoor pool, but access to the outdoor pool is separate to the leisure centre and can be reached via the car park. Plenty of free parking. We went for an early morning lane swim - there were only 4 of us in the pool, so plenty of space and the local/regular swimmers made us feel really welcome even giving us 'Friends of Aldershot Lido' swimming caps, which were a lovely souvenir of our visit. The laned section of the pool is about 25-30m & fairly deep. Pool is well maintained and lovely to see the traditional fountain in operation. Changing facilities are basic but clean & clean toilets and hot showers. Lockers available poolside, but bring padlock. Overall we really enjoyed our visit
We have always loved coming here in the summer months. Such an amazing massive outdoor unheated pool with a swim area for every ability, including lanes and a diving area.nWe live a good 45min drive away but it’s worth it for a day out.nThe first time we came we were really pleased to see plenty of grassy space to sit, even tho it was really busy - and still enough space in shade for those who need it. There’s a little sandpit and climbing play area for the little ones, plus a hot food cafe selling chips, nuggets and other family friendly snacks plus my kids were loving this an ice cream, waffles and coffee van which we always buy from.nThe toilets are very basic and a bit grim on busy days, but it doesn’t spoil our day. The changing areas are the other side of the pool near the hot food area but we don’t really use them and just turn up in our swimmers.nWe have visited during a variety of temperatures over the years - the water is blissful when it’s a hot day over 25C but once we went when it was 20C outside and unfortunately it was just too chilly for us.nnThoroughly recommend!
Beautiful place to take the kids. Water is lovely and clean and the slides are good fun for the kiddies.nPlenty of hot food choices, drinks and ice creams etc…nThey sell lilos and inflatables for a decent price if you forget yours.nnOverall makes for a wonderful day for everyone!nWe will defo be back!!

Absolutely joyful time. Dog Day in the pool. Surrounded by dogs just living their best life
