Been using this Station for years. Staff are polite and there is a small cafe on site. This station has 3 tracks, toilets and vending machines on each platform. The toilets are not very clean unfortunately but when u gotta go.... There are no lifts and other platforms can be reached by an underground passage. If you are disabled and need to get across to other platform a gaurd will assist you across the track, you have to ask. A good feature is there is a enclosed waiting room on platform two that is warm. Perfect for cold and wet days or for long waits. There are seating on the platforms too.
For the most part, the members of staff are very friendly. The train service to London is usually every half hour.nnThere is a lovely cafe where one can sit and wait for one's train. I do not know if it is still open. It is also right next to the bus station which is very handy.nnThe man with the white beard who usually stands on the platform is awesome, extremely polite, approachable and helpful and is an absolute legend.nn***I recently went to this station again and the members of staff were exceptionally nice and take the time to talk to people. There is a man who takes the train to Aldershot almost every single day and he sings quite loudly. The members of staff obviously know who he is and they engage in great banter with him. It is nice to see!!! I also added a photograph of two enthusiastic members of staff.***

Not perfect but there is a waiting room and easy pick area. There is also a nearby carpark. One thing that I normally miss in many train stations in the UK is either an escalator or a lift. This has to stop! Enough with the cost saving drama. Do the needful! All stations need updates and should be well facilitated for users. After all they are paying!
Small historic station with good connections to London and Guildford. Pleasant helpful staff. Good service overall. Easy access to the bus station and town centre.
