Fascinating historic building with stacks of exhibits to see. Friendly staff and helpful service. The staff obviously enjoyed their work.
Nice way to spend an hour. Learned a lot about the town and surrounding areas, especially through recent decades. There's also maps for walking trails and other activities around the area, esp for kids. The docents were very friendly. It's open from 1-4pm and we didn't need tickets, though we went on a rainy Monday so it wasn't busy. They do ask that you get there before 3:30pm so they can close up at 4.
Beautiful building, well maintained and restored. Very friendly staff. This is the place to go to if you want to learn something about the building, the history of the town, the people who live there. It's interactive as well so the kids don't get bored. There is something for everybody. We've had fun with the little quiz on the hanging slates. We spent over an hour looking at everything and we walked away less stupid than when we came in. Moreover your ticket which at 3.50£ each is very reasonable is valid for a month. So if you don't have time to see it all, come back an other day. The car park is literally next door to it. We went for a walk along the sea afterward. Great afternoon. Would recommend. Fab place. Xxx
What a delightful Museum, 3 Generations of our family visited we all took something away from it. So easy to understand the well laid out informative printed info. Lots of question and answer tasks. The exhibits are truly interesting. Two lovely Guides who left us to our own perusing but were there if we needed to ask something. After coming from the Red House this was truly an engaging visit. We would definitely return to Moot Hall and the area but certainly not to the Red House.
Very good, especially the old maps of the town
Great place to go for a walk good coffee shop brilliant fish & chips
Unique part of history. Still being used as a Town hall, the two storey Tudor market town hall was built circa 1580. Knowledgeable guide. Good locale history of the Saxon area and artifacts downstairs in the museum.
An attractive building, in the middle of an attractive village. A good museum, though small.
One of the great historical building of aldeburgh plenty of interesting things to see
Bags of history in an unlikely museum which doesn't disappoint
