Story

Albion House, Ramsgate is our new hotel. We have 14 bedrooms, a beautiful bar which used to be the chamber for town meetings, 3 exquiaite dining rooms and an amazing historic and in parts untouched basement with many original 1790's features. Albion House, Ramsgate is a place for you to come and stay, enjoy amazing views and sumptuous comfort, have a relaxing drink in our bar area, perhaps take the private dining room and host friends for a special occasion and generally look after yourself.

I have used the restaurant a few times and the roasts in the past have been lovely. Yesterday I had lunch there. The building is beautiful and the restaurant comfortable. The staff are polite and attentive. I had a chicken schnitzel. The chicken was tender but unfortunately the crispy covering had a slightly burnt taste. I did not have the heart to complain which I should have done as I was a little disappointed but I did not want to spoil the event for my guest.nThe chips were good but nothing remarkable despite the fancy name they gave them and the salad was little more than a garnish. My guest had a burger and said it was goodnI would consider going there again as I have previously enjoyed meals there and it is a lovely setting but I won't be rushing back there which is a shame. On this occasion I think it could have been better..The bill including a couple of glasses of wine and service was 75 pounds. I suppose quite a lot really but the place is such a lovely setting that they can justify their prices.
I organised a Christmas party for 80 people for 2024 and was super happy with Albion House. The service was excellent, the venue was beautifully decorated, and the big luxurious rooms were great. The food was amazing. Views stunning. I would definitely recommend it for work/pleasure. Thank you to all the staff who worked incredibly hard to make it a great night.
Great location...dining area is now like a gentleman's club ..which is very comfortable, obviously all are welcome...the cocktails are excellent...but £7 for an unbranded pint of 4% lager is a bit rich. Down the road a bit, San Clu...proper beer.nI go to both.
Visited the restaurant for lunch and discovered such an exquisite array of delicious sounding options made from the best seasonal produce from local suppliers. Starter, main and sweet were of exceptional quality, complemented by excellent organic Sicilian house white. Exceptional service, and every aspect of the decor has been chosen with superb taste for the light-filled space with views over the East Cliff, in the hotel overlooking the Royal Harbour and the main sandy beach. Also loved the Mansoace x POV group exhibition on show around the ground floor living room, focussing on men, their mental health and critical role in building a more gender-equal world, including my favourite local Margate-based artist, Charlie Evaristo-Boyce. Can’t wait to stay in the hotel, a beautifully restored Regency building.
Family visit for lunch. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a long wait for our order and the place was not busy. The food was not well received by our party who found it greasy. One thought the fish very poor. Total £98 of which £10.90 was Service. I despise a service charge in any restaurant. I only go to a restaurant for service since I can cook any of the meals at home for a tenth of the price. It's just a scam to boost the bill. Won't be back.
