Happy to recommend Alaskan to anyone looking to replace windows or for out a home - they’ve done a great job of replacing our 100yo original sash windows with a very elegant set of uPvc sash units. We were recommended Alaskan in the first place and they’ve been a pleasure to deal with. Michael firstly, with his understanding approach as we were looking at options. Nikki in the office who was always prompt to reply to our questions - and we had a few! And then Tony, who did a brilliant job with the install and finish. Very pleased with the Alaskan team, their products and service and have already recommended to neighbours.

After buying our first home we had the scary task of replacing all of the windows and doors on the property. After doing some research we decided to get some quotes off of some local double glazing companies. A few companies came and went by but we found that Douglas from Alaskan understood what we wanted the most and his appearance/knowledge was very professional. We also loved that he wasn’t pushy or put any pressure on us to pick them up. So we followed up with Alaskan. A few days later Alaskan sent through digital copies of how all the windows and doors would look on the house with a detailed pricing structure, which they followed precisely. In the weeks leading the fitting, Alaskan kept in contact relaying needed information for the big day. The big day was soon upon us, with five fantastic workmen turning up at 8 o’clock as promised. They worked incredibly hard even though the weather outside was barely above freezing.... and they continued right through until the job was complete. The boys even ran the hoover round after. The work looks fantastic and I’m really pleased with the windows and doors that Alaskan have fitted! We could not highly recommend them enough as a local and highly professional company! 10/10.

Alaskan Windows have delivered an excellent service, from start to finish. Very helpful sales team, fully knowledgeable and despite my multiple questions and queries, I was always answered promptly and helpful. The fitters have done a sterling job, working from 8am till 6pm, clearing all mess and rubbish. Making cups of tea was a pleasure! My windows look fabulous. I am very happy indeed and would definitely recommend Alaskan. Thank you Douglas and team!

We moved to an Edwardian house, so wanted to work with a firm that had expertise in installing double glazing in older properties. I was impressed with Douglas on our first meet. It was also good to have the option to pop by the show room so as to visualize what the end result was like – staff there were equally as friendly as Douglas. Quality of workmanship was excellent. The team was able to install the new double glazed units without damaging existing timber architraves, which wasn’t easy. At the same time, where existing internal architraves had to be removed we opted for Edwardian-style white primed MDF over plastic – an option that we couldn’t get from others. Throughout communication was excellent – from providing detailed emails advising on ideas to quickly responding to last minute changes. Douglas and his team is a very different animal to other players in the sector. Rather than high pressured tactics, this family run firm provide competitive prices and warm, polite and friendly advice. I’d have no hesitation recommending them. Months after we had the windows installed, I think one of our visitors had damaged one of the bedroom monkey tail handles (not entirely sure). We called up Alaskan for advice. Impressively they sent over the boss of the company and a colleague to take a look. They fixed the problem immediately without any fuss, bother and at no additional cost. We were completely amazed.

Not the cheapest quote, but still very competitive. Highly professional, very polite and at no point were they pushy (unlike some other businesses). Recommended.
