Purchased a Majestic 135 earlier this year. Alan Kerr's staff were all knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Vehicle on pick up was presented in excellent condition, had a few very minor problems which were sorted out quickly and satisfactory. Spending such a lot of money you need a company that is trustworthy and reliable. Would highly recommend Alan Kerr motorhomes.
If you want a car dealer who will lie to you and hang on to your money, this business is for you. We paid a £500 deposit in order to return the following day for a test drive. The salesman kept us waiting for over an hour and in the end we decided not to proceed. Over the next 11 days we made 6 calls to check that the money would be returned and every time we were told that the salesman would call back and he never did. Yesterday someone finally took some responsibility but only after the second call of the day and paid the money back. Absolutely shocking service so my advice is avoid.
Have bought two Motorhomes from this dealer, the latest being brand new. Always the very best service from the Parts Department with Kerry always returning phone calls, emails & keen to help. Excellent service from them.
We exchanged our 14 plate motorhome with a newer secondhand model in the middle of 2022. There were known issues with the new model, which were agreed and sorted. The aftersales team, especially the ladies on the desk, were very helpful. A shout out to Ellie in particular, who is a positive, proactive member of staff and really kept on top of the project.
I bought a mini convertible from here. There were a few things that needed doing within warranty. The pull was broken to get into the bonnet and the plastic strip above the roof kept falling down. They did repair these things but not to standard as the first time i pulled my lever to open the bonnet it snapped and the plastic cover falls on my head continuously when the roof is put down. Many other problems with this garage. Would not touch with a barge pole!
We paid top price for a campervan just a year ago. On collection boot cover to hand break was found to be torn and sales person promised to supply new, not heard from them . but now mesh to pop up roof is found to be rotting but have been told not covered by warranty.what a farce, I’ve asked what is covered by warranty, still awaiting answer. Check it out before you pay!. Best to avoid uncaring selling agency.
We brought a band new roller team 746. We had countless amount of problems with it. The last problem was the roof had blisters bubbling. My sat nav SIM card never arrived. The motorhome was not Evan 1 years old. The fridge stop working, we had problems with the gas and lights. Total disaster. So I gave it back to them. Expecting all my money back. That wasn’t the case they took £3000.00 off the price I paid for it. The van only had just over a thousand miles. Very poor
We have been trying to get some warranty work completed since November 2021. It is still outstanding, I have called them every 2 weeks for an update and there stock response is "will look into it & call you back", which never, ever happens! Their after sales service is the worst I have ever known, anybody who buys anything from this rudderless ship needs their head felt! They will happily take your money for a sale, but thereafter they are not interested...my advice is take your custom elsewhere.
Had some bodywork repairs done by Alan Kerr and on the first outing since the repairs the newly replaced wheel arch fell off. After emailing them, numerous phone calls, none of which have been answered, and over a month since I first complained to them I complained to Bailey about the poor customer care. Bailey informed me that 3 weeks after emailing Alan Kerr to ask what parts are required, they still haven’t received a response. I’ve emailed again requesting an update and if I don’t receive a satisfactory response I will contact the MD. If that doesn’t resolve this issue, I will be referring my complaint to the motoring ombudsman. I bought my motorhome brand new from Alan Kerr but I will never purchase from them again and would advise anyone to steer clear of this dealership
Wish I had read the reviews prior to purchasing vehicle. Currently have a vehicle which is faulty but all my emails and messages go unanswered, now looking at legal advice because as far as I am concerned they took my money for a faulty vehicle. I thought it was a safe bet going with a 'family run business' avoid at all costs!!! Also wish I could give 0 stars
