Been dining here for over 20-years now and never had a bad meal or experience. The owner, Abdul and his right-hand man, Islam make you feel welcome and will take time to explain the menu should you need help. The food is traditional Bangladeshi but will be spiced to your personal requirements. Good bottled beer and wine available. Highly recommend.
Went to the Al Khyam saturday 18/10/14 we took friends who where visiting from Coventry and staying with us in Kennington walking distance grand,got there 8.30 food was amazing but must say after dining over the 14 years of living in Kennington not often but enough,cold atmosphere not at all inviting few people in for a saturday evening owner not his normal chatty self no complementry drinks at the end of the evening just hovering as they wanted us to go very very dissapointed.
Always friendly and helpful Funny and easy going could not be better food
