I had two windows and two composite doors fitted by AJS 5 years ago. I've had nothing but problems from day one and they haven't gone away. Handles missing, windows not closing properly and door frames poorly installed. When I got the previous owner out to have a look he admitted they don't manufacture the doors and the company that does has gone bust. So now I have a door that keeps coming off it's hinges. They are under new management now and when I call about my door problems (front doors frame is coming loose....again), they deny that they have any records of my purchases and that all of the staff are different. Even though Julie still answers the phone. She's pretty useless and probably the most unhelpful person I've ever spoken to. When I want to take things up with management, she refuses to put me through nor gives out any name. I'm now going to replace both doors as a security precaution and both windows. Steer clear of this lot unless you like burning money. Follow up review: After posting my review I got a call from AJS the next morning.I was expecting them to say that they'd arranged for an engineer to come around soon and fix the problem I currently have. What I got instead was a very annoyed Julie. She basically told me in no uncertain terms that she was very upset that I had mentioned her name in the review. She also stated that she'd spent the last two days trying to find my file (apparently they don't have a computer system like every other business) and now wasn't sure if she wanted to continue to help me (something I wasn't even aware of). I explained to her that when I had called a couple of days earlier that she said and I quote "Unless you have your reference number, there's nothing I can do". She wasn't interested in that. What's also quite remarkable is that she was not concerned about the bad experience I'd had with the company nor was she interested in rectifying it. She was simply upset her name had been used. Any other reputable business would have read the review and tried to make things right with the customer. Not AJS. What's even more disturbing is that Julie then said "I want to help you but you've written that review...." I'm not sure what she was implying there. I told her that I wasn't happy that I'd received a call first thing in the morning, complaining about an honest review I'd written. Something I've never had with any other company. I told Julie that I'd be writing a follow up review about the phone call. She simply replied "You're not making matters any better. Do you want my help or not?". I stick by what I said, and will never do business with this lot again. I'm currently shopping around to replace the shoddy doors AJS fitted.

Recently had my entire house windows double glazed by AJS windows, Ken came out to measure the windows who was very friendly. Followed by a surveyor who sorted out a minor issue of measurements. Rod and the team were extremely professional, punctual, reliable and friendly. The service is truly outstanding and very reasonably priced also. Extremely pleased with my new windows which look extremely smart and are FENSA regulated. Throughout the process, I was kept informed and was able to text Julie at the office aswell, she is a great asset to the company. Would definitely recommend to all if you're wanting an outstanding, professional, competitive and reliable service.

I am very pleased with the services received from AJS. I have had replacement window in the whole house and a replacement porch. Great quality at a good price. The fitters were very professional, friendly and kept us informed as to when they were coming and what was being done. Many thanks to Roy and the team.

We had soffets, fascias and gutters done by AJS. This involved two sides of scaffolding. We had a most professional service and a great job throughout. All at a great price. We have also had windows and doors, and a conservatory done. Again brilliant. I would recommend AJS to any body who wants a proffesional job at a fair price.

I am shocked to read the experiences of some of the reviewers as I have used this company many times and have always had the very best of service with good prices and brilliant quality. We have had traditional upvc windows and aluminium bifold doors with no issues at all. I don't normally do reviews but wanted to reassure people that the company is well run by Roy and his staff and always a pleasure to deal with. I have recommended them many times to friends and acquaintances who have all been happy with their windows, doors and the service they have received. I definitely recommend this company.
