This one of the smaller museums on the site at IWM Duxford, and it's main purpose is to tell the stories of the Parachute Regiment and Airborne Forces who go to war from the air. There are some really good exhibits from all over the world where the Parachute Regiment have served. The display of weapons is also really good. What really hacks me off on this Google page is the amount of people that put photos from Duxford, that are nothing to do with the Parachute Regiment. Come on guys, have some respect for the Paras.
Grate museum to a great regiment don't for get to make a donation in respect thanks & God bless all who served
Unable to find certain members on the para data cause the measum corrator won't put members with a crimal record on. These men that gave there life's to our country cannot get past high ranking bigot officers whom I have spent more time in the naffi que than they have in combat.
This is one of smaller discrete museums within the overall IWM Duxford, it is included within the overall entry price. It is a great tribute to those who have served. Very special
Really impressed by the information boards and references to associated subjects e.g. 9/11 and the Greenham Common women. Exhibits excellent. I'm always moved by the bomber memorial panels outside at the back, where there are now new statues too.
So fabulous exhibits. Original kit on display from all over the world where Paras have served. Brilliant display of weapons too. Check out the medal display and iPads.
