The food is good, the staff are nice, accessability is decent. Double doors to get inside, wooden floor leading from the entrance to to bar, carvery and toilets. The seating areas are carpeted. About half the tables are on a platform a couple of steps up but there's still a variety of wheelchair accessible tables including a couple of large booths and a couple of tables with a view of a TV. There's also some outside seating near the outside children's play area and through the side. There's a lot of open space outside the disabled toilet. It's a little bit tight inside but still usable. When I went the changing table was broken so it didn't stay up but I assume they're working on fixing that. The emergency cord doesn't hang to the floor though and is stuck in a corner behind the toilet and a bin. I don't think it's going to be much use to anybody. The carvery is in the same open area as the disabled toilets with wooden and tile floor. There is a slight lip to get into this area. It is a bit awkward getting there without a car because the only way in is through the car entrance with no dropped curb or through a missing bit of fence at the back. It would be great if they had something like a gate leading from the path to near the main entrance. For drivers it's great because it's one of the only places in Horley with an on site carpark. The carpark is also very big and usually mostly empty. Staff have been nice every time we've been and so has the food.
I don’t normally bother doing reviews, but thought that these guys really deserved one. It’s been a very quiet night but the staff were incredibly friendly, helpful & obliging. In addition the carvery looked amazing and although we only had the carvery baps, they were fantastic. Of course this is exactly how it should be, but so unusual to see these days. Well done to you all for making me and my pal feel so welcome. Grant!
We ordered a carvery, it had been sat there for a while, it had all gone hard. We ordered menu good before and that was impeccable. All fresh. All the staff are extremely polite and helpful. Atmosphere can be a bit larey sometimes, but it's a pub so what do you expect. Kid-friendliness: Have a play park. Parking: Lots of parking Wheelchair accessibility: Disabled parking and access all around restaurant.
OMG! Amazing food and staff and prices. The breakfast was delicious full English, of course!. It was my birthday and the lovely staff brought out a cupcake with a candle in it. Made my day! Thank you, you lovely people. I’ve already recommended you to friends. Parking: Lots of free spaces
Seemed decent, we went for the kids soft play and it wasn't too busy and looked OK. I didn't try the food but ordered the children's meal of chips, 6 nuggets and beans. The meal wasn't great and it felt precooked but it was cheap I suppose the dessert was much better though. I've not tried the food in the pub but did glance at someone getting a roast and it looked good! It has its own carpark and outside play area as well so I would say it does the job if you have kids and want them to play and have fun while you eat. The pu itself is really big and when I walked in the staff were all really nice and friendly. So yeah, I'll come back again!
Very generous with meat portions. Lovely roast dinner. Great service. Quiet area to sit in. Just be sure to register your car registration no. at the bar or you'll be fined £100!!!!Food: 5/5
The staff were lovely. We stopped for some food just before going to Gatwick after we tried another place that was fully booked whereas the Air Balloon had lots of free tables. Due to their association with a child's soft play centre there were a lot of families dining with young children.
We visited last weekend, my daughter 4 ordered sausages mash for little eaters, we felt the portion was perfect, larger than we expected for "little eaters" but whonis going to complain about that! , unfortunately the sausages she did not eat, they did not look that cooked to be honest. The side options for vegetables are extremely limited on the kids menu, seeing as they have the carvery I would have thought more options could have been offered, but anyways that's my opinion... Myself and my partner got the carvery, unfortunately it was not the best we've had by far... vegetables seemed over done, but potatoes seemed underdone. The yourshire puddings were near on black and still served that way? We where shocked to see this! However... The meat was cooked beautifully, and the gravy was very good! Servers are a huge hit and miss, sometimes you'll have the best experience and other times you get the ones that don't want to be there, like to be a little less into serving you to the point they get the order wrong when repeating it back to you it is the finer details in life that make it more easy to enjoy and love!
Dreadful experience. We ordered a sirloin medium rare and carvery. Sirloin took 30 min and arrived charred... Sent it back only to return raw, blue and cold. Refunded requested and we were expecting it to be the whole meal and only the meat was refund. Now I need to go eat SOMEWHERE else. What a waste of good meat Find another cooker!
Apart from the 2girls behind the bar who were so welcoming what an awful experience we were made to feel so unwelcome by one waitress as she saw us looking at the menu she barked at us there's 40 minute wait on food and then walked away so we opted for the carvery, what a huge mistake the lady behind there was even worse, I was told I could have 1 or 2 Yorkshire puddings after looking at me she said I take it you want 2 and make sure you fill your plate as your not coming back for seconds. I am not a small girl and am quite chubby but to be spoken to like that I found was so rude she doesn't know me so hence to say I won't be returning ever and to add insult to injury the food was awful the worst meal I think I have ever had
