Probably should have left a review before now as always had great customer service over the years. I'd recently bought a 2nd hand e bike elsewhere which had an issue cutting out, Ray kept me up to date on progress as one part of the repair was to send the battery back to Giant to be re programmed, great service as I'd got the bike elsewhere, all been good so far. I'll disappear back 25 years and my parents bought me a Bianchi road bike elsewhere, on my first ride out the wheels lost all spoke tension and I was near Ainfield, I stuck my head in and they tensioned the wheels to get me home and never charged. I got them to hand-build some wheels after that and they were bullet proof. Always had great advice when I'd bought kids bikes and my own and always relaxed and friendly. Really can't recommend enough over the years.

Let's get this clear. I've ridden John o groats to lands end, Milan to London and I've ridden back to London from Belarus...this is the most knowledgeable, patient, methodical bike engineer I have ever met. We had a problem I couldn't diagnose and he quickly worked through the options before proving it was a slightly bent derailleur hanger that meant my chain would slip when going up 20% gradients. Took ten mins. Amazing. Thank you. The bike was a dream today and made great time to Alston.

I had an issue with my bike 1 mile into a coast to coast bike ride. The staff in Ainfield Cycles sorted it straight away allowing us to carry on. They also have a really good range of bikes at reasonable prices. Would definitley recommend this shop!

Went to get some new road inner tubes. Nobody said hello in the store. When I was browsing a couple asked ME if I worked at the store...the older guy who did was stood right there. They had been in longer than me so they had clearly not been greeted either. I was given inner tubes with “extra long valves”. I bought them wondering if I wanted extra long. I decided I didn’t after comparing with mine and went back in to ask for the shorter ones. I was told they didn’t have any. After asking if he was sure he went into the back and brought out apparently the regular ones. I went to check and he made me feel bad by being insistent they were shorter. I checked when I went to the car, they were EXACTLY the same! I also asked for some advice and asked if I could speak to the older guy since the young lad appeared not to know anything. The young lad said “I takes a while to learn how to do it” and just stood there which implied he didn’t want to approach the older guy. This whole thing was VERY patronising and I felt like an inconvenience. The older guy never said hello at all. As it happens I am a lass but I am knowledgeable about road bikes, just wanted some advice. I will be taking the extra tube back to get a refund. Not happy and disappointed . Wanted to help a local shop, they’ve lost my custom on the first visit.

Great customer service, helpful and knowledgeable. Great aftercare also especially for someone like me who dosent read a user manual and dosent listen enough when being shown how to use the equipment correctly just want to go play with my new........ whatever!. Would highly recommend.
