Quite a nice place to go and get a dessert. The waffles and ice creams are nice and service is good. Unfortunately the coffee machine has been out of action of a few years ago sadly you can't get a coffee. Not quite sure why it's not being replaced/repaired.
The dessert offerings are bountiful here, Ice cream delights, cheese cake snd waffles too. I’ve been going here for over 5yrs and it’s still good value. They’ve recently given the seats new coverings which is good however x1 table still has the etchings of people’s names, graffiti etc. If you want to treat the kids, this is a place they’ll definitely enjoy. Staff were friendly and our order arrived in good time. I didn’t use the toilets but I can say that on my visit the place was clean & tidy. I will be returning again when a sweet treat is needed.
I seriously don’t understand the bad reviews. I’ve been going here for at least 7-8 years maybe longer as I did since when they first opened. I have been a regular for the last 5 years and it has never ever disappointed me because I know what to get : the Asian man, tall and curly hair, he’s always so welcoming and lovely and makes the best cookie dough! I don’t enjoy cookie dough anywhere else besides this afters! Perfect every time. I popped into store after not visiting for 2 years, I began getting it as a take out and the same guy was quick to remember me and asked about me and my colleague who used to visit regularly. I mentioned I had a baby and have been ordering online. He was just so lovely. Expensive but well worth it in my opinion! The only dessert shop I order from.
Great to take the kids out for a treat. Place is a little run down now and they only take cash however the food was really good. Sugar rush galore.
£20 FOR A MILKSHAKE AND VANILLA SCOOP! Through justeat I ordered the Kinder Joy Waffle and Strawberries and Cream Crepe, totalling over £20. Instead they sent me a milkshake and one scoop of vanilla icecream. Both milkshake and scoop tasted disgusting. I Tried calling the restaurant but no response.
If I could rate this zero stars I would. Absolutely poor in very way. Please avoid if possible! Evidently no training giving to Anyone. To start with, as we entered in to the restaurant around 10oclock we was rudely approached with by the manger at the time that we me and my fianceéare not allowed to sit down as it only take away. Don't get me wrong i understand that the restaurant may be closing soon but there's a way to talk to customers and how you inform them about the company's policies, especially as he was sitting confiscating with he's friend who was not working apon approach. Secondly the cashier women was not much help either. We wanted to order waffles but was unsure what was on the menu or how to order, she directed us to menu and said we can chooses what we want, we then found out that majority of what we wanted was either out of stock or was not available as it was too late. After finally ordering and reaching home we found that the ferrero rocher was just slapped on the waffle with no care in the world that you could not eat with the waffle , the white chocolate sauces dipping all over the box inside and out, cut up overripe banana that was unable to eat and toffee sauce that taste off. Overall a bad experience 150% would not go back.
Service is a bit of a hit and miss here however the dessert tends to be very nice. They're a bit pricey for basic things like ice cream, but otherwise I would recommend!
"mixed nuts" on the fantastic Ferrero is literally a raw peanut and raisin mix... Definitely does not belong on a dessert. The tables and general place needs a refresh and the staff are very unwelcoming. I wish I'd read the reviews before coming here.
Lovely afters delivered by Deliveroo. The afters was very big one is enough for two persons. Will order again.
The menu is vast and the waffle I had was delicious, however the decor is drab and dark, tables have been etched with graffiti and it doesn't smell clean in there.
