Wicked night just like old times. Doesn’t matter race, size, skin head, punk or mod After Dark does something to bring the good out in everyone. Such a great atmosphere and still holds some of my best night memories from years ago and now recent too. This place better stay open.
Now this place takes me back! Much talked about, famous venue for a lot of indie bands around the mid 90s. Fools Gold night is a definite one to go to if you get the chance. This place isn’t too big but there is a bar at the back to sit and relax and hear your friends talk. Location could be difficult to find if your battery died.
I used to love this place and came back for my birthday but it has really gone downhill sadly. Back bar was closed so only a small area to sit down with some crazies. DJ was terrible, music really didn't flow. Nearly completely empty. Was a let down as when I lived in Reading we used to go frequently but it was not the same at all:
A thriving venue, suitably fitting to recently host some of The Fringe festival's finest artists, creating an intimate atmosphere with comfie seating and reasonably priced drinks. Always reinventing itself there's a night on to appeal to everyone hosted by a super friendly team. It's looking in great shape of late too
It had been many years since I'd been to the After Dark Club. Very little has changed. Still has a cozy vibe and is still quite hard to find. Drinks weren't too pricey, although I was driving so no idea how much the beer was
stars for not bad cocktails. However the layout of the place is a bit unfortunate. Very long space by the bar serves as waiting, passing by and dancing floor, so everyone ends of being pushed constantly.
Absolutely brilliant place with such a free and friendly atmosphere. Can see why it's been going so long
Great music venue. Britain needs more places like this. Saw a band called Forays, who were really good
Great staff and super live music. Saw Adam and Elvis here. A local band.. They were great.
Had an absolutely amazing time at the 80s night. Staff are really helpful and friendly
