Went into these charlatans today to change a golf shirt my son bought me for father's day. The guy was helpful and told me to select a shirt . I went and picked up a under armour shirt priced at £44.95p £5.00 cheaper than what my son had paid. I brought this to the guys attention and asked if I could pick up a bag of tees for the missing fiver. No someone has priced these shirts wrongly. I said so they have priced 12 shirts on the rack wrongly. Yes he said I went wrongly bananas and shouted at him how could someone make such a mistake. I was told not to shout but now I am nearly losing it so I told them to f.off and was told I was barred. No worries myself or my 300 colleagues will not be near near these people for anything golfn. It was the principle of trying to steal a fiver from a sale that got me. Bad retail practice from these mugs.
Recently visited the store looking for some replacement clubs for my 13 year old son. I had been recommended to visit by a friend as I am a non golfer and was on holiday in the area. The service and attention we received was outstanding , there were obviously adult golfers who were potentially going to spend more than me that day. But Derek in particular went out of his way to source a number of pre owned clubs at a fraction of the price i was expecting to pay , he also gave sensible advice and even allowed my son to try his new clubs on there simulater. It goes without saying as a regular visitor to Glasgow this will certainly be my go to golf store.
Went to AG hillington yesterday to enquire about a club, had the pleasure of dealing with a older gent who was really accommodating, however whilst we were talking a younger bearded store boy was sniggering and making noises at the counter at my part of a discussion, a discussion for which he had no part, unfortunately I had to go back today to get to test it before buying, who did I get to use the booth with? You guessed it, step up bearded store boy, what a angry little fellow he is kicking balls, storming off being condescending all because I didn’t know how to work a gc quad, funnily enough I was not there to learn how to use a gc quad I have spent quite a few quid in AG over the years, glad to say it will be my last, very unprofessional,
Taking a top back still had all the tags on it but no receipt as got for a present only wanted to swap it over for something that suited me better apparently they can’t do that definitely weren’t helpful at all and you have certainly lost another customer as service was rubbish
Just had my first experience with Affordable Golf that was not on my radar screen until now and will be my first choice going forward in golfing equipment. Colin and his staff were first class and their guidance well received. Affordable but best thing was the customer service.
