Afflecks is one of those places that never loses its magic. I spent so much of my youth wandering around this building, and every time I'm back in Manchester, it's the first place I have to visit.nnWhat's lovely is seeing that I'm not the only one, every time I come back, there are other parents bringing their children to explore it too. It almost feels like a Manchester rite of passage! It's brilliant to see a new generation discovering the same quirky shops, independent businesses, and hidden treasures that so many of us grew up with.nnNo two visits are ever the same. Whether you're into vintage clothes, music, gaming, anime, art, crystals, or just love browsing somewhere completely unique, there's always something new to find. Afflecks has kept its individuality and character over the years, which is such a rare thing these days.nnIf you're in Manchester, don't miss it. It's more than just a shopping centre, it's a piece of the city's culture, and somewhere that keeps pulling you back time and time again.
The embodiment of the Northern Quarter. Alternative, queer and endlessly interesting. Went there several times while in Manchester and will definitely go again when I come back. It’s a fantasy world. Mix alternative grunge with anime, art and queerness and you get “Afflecks”! Much love for this place! ‍
Lots of shops with tons of unique selections. Very cool place to browse and shop. Has little cafes scattered about as well as retro game arcades and photo booths. Highly recommend giving this place a visit!
Wonderful alternative shops, many options. Many stairs, keep in mind. Always a great time to visit.
A quirky building full of wild and wonderful independent shops! Everyone here was extremely friendly and the items on offer were cool!nnThey have two piercing shops here and I got my snug pierced for £25 cash only which was great compared to the prices at my normal studio.nnThere are plenty of lifts which was great to see. It's nice when places like this are made accessible.nnIt was a fun place to hang out for a few hours and I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking to fill up their itinerary!
