Story

Built in 1968, Adgestone Vineyard is the oldest continuously operating commercial vineyard in England. Open 7 days a week to visitors during summer, we offer a comprehensive digital audio tour of the 10 acre vineyard and 5 subterranean cellars complete with a 30 minute wine tasting session where you'll learn how to impress your friends with your new expert wine knowledge and tasting technique.
To complete your experience, we have a new licensed cafe offering light lunches and sharing platters to be enjoyed in or out, watching the sea as you relax.
If you are looking for a real treat, why not stay a few days in our B&B and enjoy your evenings under the stars with a bbq?
We are open during winter Tuesday to Saturday 10am-4pm, Sundays 11am-4pm.
During summer we are open Monday to Saturday 10am-5.30pm. Sundays 11am-5.30pm.

Well run vineyard with very friendly knowledgeable staff who are happy to make your visit enjoyable. We were greeted by Kate who talked us through the delicious wines and let us taste them. Then we had a very tasty lunch freshly prepared with a bottle of the red wine. Weather wasn't good enough to do the tour but we have done it before and it's very informative. We left with a selection of bottles and would recommend the wine and the vineyard to others.

I Stayed for two nights in October, i needed a place to Reset. to enjoy the fresh air and the beautiful views right outside my room. Russell and his family were so warm, welcoming and hospitable. the breakfast was spot on and the coffee was the icing on the cake. i even took the vineyard tour, and i've come away appreciating wine so much more. not just a break away from the norm, a beautiful place to visit and a lovely family to meet. I'll be coming back, thats for sure.

This has to be the best wine tasting experiences you could have the staff where friendly and knowledgeable. There is seating inside and outside with live music to take in the scenery. Very relaxing experience and would definitely add this as a point of interest if you are visiting the island.

Lovely place. Friendly and knowledgeable owners. No sales pressure, though you don’t need it with such nice wines.

Wonderful Just left after a very informed wine tasting and pleasant coffee chatting with Joshua and Milo who are both a credit to this small friendly business. The wine bottles are thinking in the bootof the car and we will definitely be thinking of our visit when drinking them at home. Thanks guys
