I have had 10 sessions with David - the main reason was to resolve an ongoing tennis elbow issue that had continued for 6 months despite both osteopathy and steroid injections. This issue was resolved within 6 sessions. But I have also benefited improved overall emotional wellness which has meant that I continue to see him my choice not his as I feel I continue to derive benefit. He has a calm, professional, considerate and understanding manner. Cannot recommend highly enough.
I looked into acupuncture because I discovered I had hypothyroidism and unbalanced hormones and heard it might help. I was also concerned about the impact this would be having on my fertility as I approached 40. From the outset, I felt at ease and comfortable with David. He has a calm and level-headed demeanour, and he took the time to understand my unique circumstances beyond the physical problems that could be affecting my wellbeing, before tailoring his acupuncture treatment to my specific needs. I continued to see David weekly at both his Hemel Hempstead and Berkhamsted clinics for about 3 months while he supported me through a difficult relationship I was having. I would notice a build-up of tension throughout the week, but that would disappear after his sessions, and week by week this tension left me completely. What I realised from my treatment with David was that the most significant problem I was having was more to do with my emotional conditioning as a result of past relationship trauma. I have no idea how his acupuncture treatment works, but it has literally changed my life and within 4 months, I felt back to the person I used to be – before a significant emotional ordeal I’d gone through a few years earlier. I continued to see David monthly, and without any medical intervention, my stress hormones had regulated, and my thyroid levels and antibodies had significantly improved. I believe that was the knock-on effect of David’s treatment, and that by healing my emotional state of mind he also rebalanced my body physically. Several months after starting my treatment with David, I was told that I would struggle to conceive naturally and that I would likely need IVF, so David spent my following session focusing purely on fertility. While I had begun to make peace with the idea of not ever having a biological child, I decided it was still worth trying a treatment with him. To my absolute surprise, I fell pregnant naturally that same cycle. I’m now 41 years old and 32 weeks along with my first baby and so far, having a smooth pregnancy with no complications. I truly believe that David’s treatment has altered the course of my life for the better by rebalancing my mind and body and enabling me to completely move on from past trauma that I’d learned to live with by staying in what I can only describe as a kind of emotional “safe/sleep' survival mode. I had no idea his treatment was going to help me in such a profound way, and I can honestly say that putting my trust in him is one of the best decisions I ever made.
I became a client of David's during an extremely stressful time. I was distraught and in trauma/overwhelm. David used his experience and skills to not only provide therapy for the crisis but, ongoing, for the underlying causes. The combination of talking to establish current issues with designing the acupuncture part of the treatment in response to this worked very well for me. It meant that every stage of treatment was based on what was happening at that particular time. Through frank and often enlightening discussion I have been able to understand my situation and change my outlook. David is a calm. Measured and totally non-judgemental therapist who I can recommend without hesitation. I have visited both Berkhamsted and Hemel Hempstead clinics. .
I went to David for acupuncture to complement fertility treatment. It was my 4th round of IVF but 1st time trying acupuncture. David was fantastic! He listened to my whole life story more like counselling and shaped my treatment to not only aid with fertility and conception but to assist with more holistic wellbeing too. He also went to great lengths to ensure treatment was Covid-safe without losing any of the effectiveness and overall experience. I now have a beautiful, healthy six week old daughter. And I can’t thank David enough for the role he played in this.

I saw David at his clinic near Berkhamsted and travelled from Tring. I went to David primarily to support with Fertility issues but as our sessions progressed I found it helpful in a number of ways including a painful muscular injury to my neck and helping me get some clarity and when I'd been feeling torn and "stuck". I also saw David throughout my pregnancy as I really do think he supports both physical and mental wellbeing. The acupuncture is not painful and I always left each session feeling wonderfully relaxed. I've recommended David to friends for got both physical injuries as well as hormonal issues. David offered a flexible service seeing me in evenings or weekends. I highly recommend seeing David. He is professional but has a kind manner which puts you at ease and he plans his treatment in order to try and support your long term needs.
I was very happy to find David. I had treatment to support me through ivf and a successful pregnancy. I always looked forward to our sessions and felt very positive with the results. David always created a calming environment. Also with my work hours which are very awkward and unsocial, David went out of his way to accommodate me so that I wouldn’t miss out on sessions when I need them. Even with Covid and shutdown David has checked in on me to see how I was doing. Would highly recommend.
I began seeing David for treatment in late 2018 when my husband and I were trying to conceive our second child. I hadn’t had any type of acupuncture before contacting David and had no idea what to expect. Not only was it very helpful in achieving a successful pregnancy our son is now 7 weeks old but it also enriched my life in other areas which was quite revelatory. I felt a deeper emotional connectivity in my relationships and managed to juggle motherhood, a very full on work schedule as well as trying to conceive with a calm and pragmatic approach much of which I attribute to David’s treatments. I throughly looked forward to each of our sessions. I left feeling nourished and full of positivity. David is kind, calming and incredibly professional. As soon as my son is older and I am able, I will be going back for more regular sessions.
David has been treating me with acupuncture for a few months now. David takes time to understand his patients, never rushes and has time to listen as well as treat. I feel David treats me as an individual as opposed to a 'standard treatment fits all approach'. And seen some fantastic results
I came to see David mostly because I had to deal with a traumatic situation at that time and because of having problems of dealing with a lot of stress. He treated me with a combination of acupuncture and tapping which both helped me immensely. His warm, calm and trusting personality also gives you a very relaxed feeling for the comfortable talking. I would definitely recommend David as his techniques were really helping me for different issues.
