We used Acumen Mortgages when purchasing our first property. Clair Sutcliffe was our case handler and helped us step by step. As it was something we had never done before, being first time buyers she went above and beyond to ensure we knew exactly what was going on in the background. We have been using Acumen to secure our mortgages for years now and have never had a bad experience. Paul Hodgson has seen us through a house move and multiple re-mortgages and is absolutely excellent, we have always felt like we were in very good hands. Everything is always made very clear from the outset and he somehow manages to take the stress away from the often laborious task of securing a good mortgage rate. I was given the opportunity to buy the house I had been renting and initially contact L&C to arrange a mortgage, initially they were helpful but then they weren't as responsive and the mortgage didn't seem to be making any progress. I then contacted Acumen after a referral from a friend who said they had been very helpful and sure enough Acumen were great from start to finish. They got me a decision in principle the same day I spoke to an adviser, who then came out to see me and the mortgage was submitted in full within 48 hours of the initial conversation.  The whole process took around 6 weeks from start to finish and Acumen were brilliant every step of the way, not only with the initial advice but also a great service from the admin team too. Highly recommended to anybody looking for mortgage assistance.

Our experience with Acumen has been superb so far since we started using them a few years ago. Mike Fagan dealt with our past 2 buy to let mortgages - his knowledge & expertise meant that he was able to answer our queries on the spot as well as efficiently. He has consistently been reliable in getting back to us promptly too. Will definitely contact Mike again for our next one and would highly recommend to anyone in need of mortgage services.

Jake Brooks at Acumen was brilliant.  Having struggled to find a product to fit my circumstances I was refered to Jake Brooks from a friend who had previously used him before.  Jake found a product and had a mortgage in principle in place within 24 hours. I couldn't believe how quickly this was arranged and it enabled me to put in an offer for our dream home.  After having our offer accepted, the mortgage application was completed swiftly. We had issues with the sellers solicitors however Jake stepped in to chase the solicitors and estate agents on our behalf, to ensure the sale completed. Jake also helped me with my life insurance, I had a look myself but after listening to Jake he explained the benefits of different policies which helped me understand and make a decision with my insurance and I took his recommendation.  I am grateful for everything Jake and the team at Acumen has done, their knowledge of the market, professionalism and speed enabled us to be a step ahead of the market and secure our dream home. I will certainly be using them again in the future.
