As a Greek living in the UK the last 4 years London, Glasgow and Oxford I can say this is one of the best UK Greek Taverns. The food is lovely, cooked by Greek cooks and made me feel I am back in Greece. The service is excellent, all the people friendly and nice and the owner great. Glad to have found this restaurant. Will definitely be back there really soon! I definitely recommend it to Greeks and non Greeks. PS. The prices are very reasonable and they also serve the lovely "AΛΦΑ" beer!!!
The ambience is just perfect, so serene yet alive. The food portions are really good and its very tasty. Decent food varieties for children and adults and the price is affordable. Parking: The co-op is about 50yards from the restaurant and it allows 3hours free parking. Across the road is a waitrose with a pay and display option for those who would prefer Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance is wheelchair accessible
A truly authentic Greek restaurant, out of the city centre but well worth the short journey. Very friendly and happy staff, excellent food and drink, we travel a few times a year to meet friends here and wouldn't go anywhere else.
Really fancied eating authentic Greek food and decided to try the Acropolis, which I found on Google. The Staff are great and the food was delicious. Reasonably priced. Vegetarian options: Lots to choose from Kid-friendliness: They are not excluded Wheelchair accessibility: Level entry into restaurant.
Good dinner delivery. 1 h waiting time. Mini fish meze platter was ok, but could have been better. Calamari were not nice and tiger prawns didn't have any flavour, it was almost boiled without any spices. Olives were nice and souvlaki too, but missed flavour again, not enough salt, no garlic, no pepper or spice.. generous portions, but flavour definitely needs improvement.

Delayed review for this amazing eatery. Arranged a group to celebrate a landmark birthday. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful, even with last minute no-shows where they expertly assessed that not all the dishes ordered to be shared for starters would be needed and amended them accordingly. A lot of venues would have served the ordered amount just to be able to charge for it, but that didn’t happen here. The food was incredible, I have spent almost every summer for the last 28 years on holiday on my paradise Greek Island but due to health issues this year wasn’t an option. So to be able to celebrate with genuine, plentiful and delicious authentic Greek food was fantastic. Really can’t recommend Acropolis enough and look forward to eating there again soon.
We had limited time to eat before a gig. En route Googled "places to eat in Headington" & were delighted to find this lovely Greek Taverna - we had had little Greek Cuisine since leaving North London 40yrs ago. We were not disappointed. Friendly, courteous & helpful waiters, delicious, welly presented authentic Greek food, great atmosphere & decor.
Meat platter for 2 everything was delicious. Fresh and flavoursome. The atmosphere relaxing and the staff are the best. Welcoming, kind and the service is the best we've had in a long time. Thankyou so much for a lovely evening. We will be returning
