Basic dated accommodation with small parking lot. This is an older building that has many quirky staircases but it is very cheap and close to a supermarket. Perfect for one night. Staff where good at getting back to me with the booking but no staff on site after you have checked in.

This was defiinetely the worst experience of my life and I have travelled widely.
I had booked for two stays in advance, once for one night only just for me,  after a hospital appointment and it was ok except for the television which was broken , was replaced but left unusable AND you have to sit side saddle on the toilet as there was no room for your legs (room 5) !!
The second time was for  four days with my wife and daughter to see my brother who has been very unwell recently.
Problems, were as follows,
1) power cuts in the room which I discovered was due to a 'shorting' kettle plug
2) there is no air conditioning and we stayed when it was 28 degrees but the room stayed too hot to sleep in overnight
3) our room was to crowded as the triple room had a double and two singles and you couldn't move in it !
4) room wasn't cleaned daily
The price was definitely too expensive for what the accommodation  offers, and therefore wouldn't recommend it.

Quite nice place to stay. Simple room with private bathroom. No breakfast include and you have to check up at 10am. Quite expensive for a night. We pay 65£. 
The room was well clean.

It's not a holiday Inn by any means but will do for a kip, rooms are adequate. I went because it was the cheapest option.

Very clean room with excellent facilities. We made quick visit with no time for sightseeing we plan to come back for a longer visit and will definitely use the Acorn Lodge as our base.
