Story

Acorn Enterprise is on a MISSION to grow Scotland's entrepreneurial culture!

We provide an environment for people to try out new business ideas without risking everything.

Our FREE 20-week Business Accelerator Programme is open to people who have a business idea or have been trading for around 3 years.

From these applicants, we then select a limited number of business owners to join the programme, who we call 'Acorns'.

We work with our Acorns to break down the barriers that prevent or limit people from launching a new business by giving them confidence, connections and key business skills.

We provide office:

* Free office space that encourages collaboration
* Weekly seminars that develop and challenge
* A business mentor who provides accountability and much much more.

Enrolling in the Acorn Enterprise program is one of the best business decisions I've ever made. I did it for different reasons than some - one of the main ones being that I felt that if I committed myself to the program I'd be accountable and would strive to make progress every day - and that's exactly how it's worked out. The people who run it are friendly, approachable and knowledgeable about a whole manner of business subjects and the guest speakers all provide excellent information too. If you're starting a new business, or would like more clarity and focus for an existing business, then I would highly recommend enrolling in the Acorns program if you possibly can. I firmly believe that this could be a life-changing opportunity for many of the people who do.

I took part in the Acorn Enterprise intake Feb 2015 and can honestly say it was the best experience from the support, the networking opportunities and the business advice received over that time was invaluable. Some of the tools I was shown in that time I had no idea of but now are an integral part of my business. If you are just starting out like me it's a fantastic support mechanism to get you to the next level and I could see for those on the course with me who were already in established business that they found it to be equally rewarding. It was a diverse group in my intake which really worked and I look forward to remaining a part of the Acorn community.

I joined Acorn Enterprises as I needed a boost of confidence in my skills as a business women but I got so much more: friends, clients, an amazing support network and the most important: sills to help grow my business. All the people that knew me before joining Acorn said that I now have much more confidence. Thank you Acorn team!

I've joined Acorns to boost my confidence in being a business owner. I've found an amazingly supportive group of people (and fun) and a few connections that helped me fining clients and business. I recommend any startup to apply for the program. #acornsrock
