I run a private studio in Southampton and have regularly shopped with Ackerman Music. Prompt delivery, good prices with the teacher discount especially and much of my studio owes its origins to Ackermans including the lovely CLP775 which they delivered within 48hrs of the order being posted and helped me assemble, and my Casio PX-S1000 which has been a trusty gigging instrument for over a year now.
Had a cornet mouth piece Transfered from another branch, and informed as soon as the item was available to collect. Very friendly and extremely helpfull staff. A pleasure to have old fashioned service.
Support your local music specialist music shop or they'll disappear! Ackerman are fantastic, always helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Anyways good prices. The Ernie Ball Peg Winder Plus they got in for me on special order is a work of art too!
We went to get a recorder for my seven year old daughter, she was adamant that she was going to buy it and the staff treated her superbly. She was shown a range of instruments and given advice to assist her choice. A gem of a shop within walking distance of the cross.
They were very helpful and offered a good range of products. They were happy to let us unbox and try out 7 different ukeleles until we found the right one. Turned to be a good price. The same Uke was as much as 20% more expensive in other shops.
Staff very knowledgeable, patient and polite. Shop has a huge stock of sheet music. If I have had to order anything service has always been very efficient.
