I've just completed my exams this week in Cardiff, I passed all 9 exams in plumbing. I can't thank Paul enough for the webinars he delivered. He made them enjoyable and easy to understand, if you're looking for a plumbing course that's flexible and professional, Paul and team are the go to guys.
Just passed all my Theory exams of Core electrics. Big Thanks to Rob as he is always inspiring and motivate people to do their best! Thank you Rob
Attended the water regulations and unvented cylinder course in Cardiff. Great location and easy parking. Very friendly staff, my tutor Pete was absolutely brilliant, very knowledgeable and made the course fun and interesting, I would highly recommend this centre for all plumbing courses, I would definitely return to Access training for other courses.
I have to say that after reading some of these reviews I am shocked. I did the complete gas course in Cardiff a few years back and found the course tutors to be very helpful and knowledgeable. I was a bit miffed at having to pay £60 for the course books after paying thousands for the course and at the time I was doing it the books were new so the training material on the slides etc was out of date. But we got through OK. My issue at the time was the work placement offered as part of the course was a bit shambolic. The engineer we went out with was excellent but the mix of work was poor, mostly servicing and we ended up doing a lot of the required work in the training bays. When it came to the acs Jon was great he helped out and directed to the best of his ability without flat out telling you how to do something. I have since changed over to commercial gas so for me access training has led to a complete change of career and lifestyle to go with it.
Started my weekend gas engineer course at access around a year ago and passed my acs last week. The whole experience has been great, the tutors were very knowledgeable and has got plenty of time for each student, I didn’t feel like I was rushed through the course, it was at my own pace. Would like to say thanks to jon the gas tutor, you’ve taught me so much and got me through to my acs. Also a big thanks to the office especially Kennedy who was very quick with their replies and always professional.
As a result of being made redundant mid 2018, I decided to do something totally different and completed a plumbing course practical training and exams with access training in Cardiff and my instructor Chico was superb and I learnt an awful lot through him resulting in a positive outcome. I have already started my Gas course and my instructor John has also been superb through the theory and practical phases and I’m really enjoying it. The admin staff at Cardiff are also really personable and helpful and I have had a good experience of the centre. My only critique would have been the sale of the course and knowing others have had the same package as me for less but after speaking to them, I understood it’s like many businesses have offers at certain times such as airlines charge different prices for tickets to the same destination dependant on when you buy and if you’re lucky enough to get one then bonus! I’ve given 5 stars for the centre as I had a really good training experience! It’s never too late to retrain and I’d recommend using this place for sure.
I recently completed the Essential Carpentry Course 5 days and found it to be ideal for my needs. The instructor, Gary, was excellent. He was able to teach a number of us even though we all worked at different speeds. I got exactly what I needed from the course and picked up plenty of tips from Gary's years of experience. He maintained a good sense of humour throughout and made it an enjoyable experience for me. Gary takes you through the basics of erecting a stud wall, hanging a door, locks etc. but is happy to teach you if you have something particular you want to learn about. I now feel confident to take on much more work in my own home. Gary even gives out his mobile number to students in case you want to ring him in the future looking for help and advice on jobs. During my week he received a number of calls from ex-students and he happily gave them advice. I've read some worrying reviews about Access Training which seem to be about other courses which I can't comment on. All I would say is, if it's the Essential Carpentry Course you're thinking about, go ahead and book it and I'm sure you will not be disappointed.
I found the training at access to be thorough and comprehensive enough for a beginners course. It was quite rightly very hands on which is the only way to learn practical skills. The tutors were both patient and attentive, generous in their time and personal tips and suggestions. I would highly recommend the course to anyone. Please note, as an older age female, I felt included and was taken seriously. Cathy.
I recently completed my gas engineering course at Access Training Academy in Cardiff with 100% success. All stuff always ready to help you resolve your doubts. I highly recommend !!!
been doing the weekend course for just over a month now, and have enjoyed the experience so far. There is a lot of information, but both Andy and Rob have done a great job explaining it to total beginners. They're both patient, will help individuals when they need it, or guide the learners so they can learn to find the information for themselves. Not only that, they don't just belt-feed you information, they break it down and make it enjoyable to learn which is an achievement since it's online!
