I took my 13 year old border collie Sam for his first visit to the salon. Sam has a thick double coat and bathing and grooming him can be hard work but Larissa did a great job, also very impressed with the facilities. Pleased to recommend!
What's more important - my little dog loved it! She's a feisty little cavalier with a difficult coat who doesn't usually tolerate grooming. But with Larissa's calm expertise she is no problem at all and always leaves looking 'absolutely fabulous'. The salon is spacious, well laid out and attractively decorated, conveniently located with easy parking on the property. Welshpool has long needed such an establishment and I unreservedly recommend this grooming parlour. Both dog and owner are in for an enjoyable interlude. I also appreciate being allowed to stay and watch - and marvel at Larissa's management of my rebellious little darling. Thank you, Larissa. Pauline Walden, Welshpool.
I picked this groomers because of the great reviews, but unfortunately my dog didn't get the same care. When I picked up my dog, noticed she looked a little scruffy - she'd been clipped right back, but I could see little straggles of hair, on her face & ears, that hadn't been trimmed off - no problem, I thought, but when I got her home, I realised there were lots of other areas on her body that hadn't been finished - she still had little bits of matted fur in a couple of armpits, as well as straggly bits of hair, here & there. Then I realised that her toenails, including her dew claws, had not been cut at all, & they definitely needed cutting! She hadn't been bathed at all, & her ear hair had not been adequately plucked, despite all of the above being discussed when I took her in, & being charged, & paying, for all of the above! I noticed that the lady running this business had a few very young girls/women looked 16 - 18 years old employed, & as there were multiple tables for grooming, I assume that they did my dog, & as they were untrained, this is the reason why my dog was so badly done - although the business owner, insisted that she had done all of my dog's grooming, when I contacted her... I would never use this groomers again it was like a factory production line, but without quality control, & really expensive - especially when your dog doesn't get toenails cut, doesn't get some mats taken off, doesn't get bathed etc I don't like to leave bad reviews, but feel it's only fair that I warn other potential clients. I don't live that close to Welshpool, but my Dad was very ill, & was in Welshpool hospital, so it was convenient for me to use this groomer, as a one off - I made the mistake of being totally frank about this, when I booked & took my dog in, so I can only assume that my dog was so badly done, because I wasn't likely to be a repeat customer...?!
Had a lovely experience a couple weeks ago with my Pomeranian X Bella being a puppy and her first trip to the groomers she was fairly nervous but the staff were excellent with her and were very patient, she looked amazing afterwards, thank you~
Absolutely fabulous is fantastic my doggies love going to aunty Larissa for their groom and kisses she treats the both dogs like they are her own never ever have I had any issues with my dogs they have been groomed beautifully and professionally x Thanks Ab Fab xxx And people who leave fake reviews really get on my nerves x
