- Careful on business trips!!! Breakfast: guests had to wait 20-30min for their order! (Only part of the breakfast is buffet. On the other hand, the food was Good) + Friendly and helpful staff! + Spacious and comfortable rooms. + Convenient location

Had a works party here in the Tattersall Suite. Room was a good size and held around 50 people quite easily. Had a temporary bar which was quite small and got busy with relatively few people by it as it was by the door. Food was brilliant and really well presented. Main bar is quite small and once we moved into the main bar it quickly became full and a bit crowded. Over all a very good night.

Nice hotel very close to Chester city centre. Very comfortable and clean room with nice view. But the service at the breakfast is not worth the money and should be improved a lot. I was waiting for more than 30 minutes for just tea and toast. Even a reminder did not work. Tea arrived when I need to go.

Got to the room but someone had left a window open and it was freezing! Heating was not working so got upgraded after 3 attempts at fixing it. Bar cocktails and food were excellent, as was breakfast. Upgraded room had poor finish in some respects, but was warm(!), spacious and had a bath behind the bed, which was great. All in all I would recommend this hotel. It's very central, our problem with the room was dealt with to our satisfaction, and the food really is brilliant.

Stayed at the abode for a city break in Chester . For this purpose the abode is very well located, only a 5 minute walk from the middle of town. Parking is secure underneath the building with a lift to reception and room floors. All the staff were helpful and friendly. The room was lovely, we had a bath with shower, I prefer separate bath and shower but this was a basic room. Views of the racecourse. Enormous bed, one criticism would be that the bed was very very soft. Breakfast was the highlight of my stay at the hotel. The presentation and quality we're better than any other b and b I have stayed at. And the views of the racecourse from the 5th floor restaurant were beautiful. Overall a very pleasant stay.
