Exceptional training centre with dedicated instructors. I am enrolled on the Gold Card Electrician package. Steve is my instructor. He is the first to arrive and the last to leave. He sets a very high standard and has a transformational approach to his leadership and institutional ability. He is approachable. He has unlimited patience, valuable knowledge and 40+ years experience. He will go above and beyond to help you understand the subject matter and relate it to real time situations in the industry. He is constantly trying to innovate and relate our training to real time situations. This is absolutely vital for us as students. I have no previous experience of electrotechnical installation work and am just about seventy-nine years old. Nine months ago, I experienced problems with the electrical installation in my home and, although I would willingly have paid to have the work done professionally, I found it difficult to find an electrician to do the work. My solution to the problem was to learn it myself to a reasonable level of competence. For many years, I have been aware of the services that Able Skills offer, and I called in and discussed matters with their Course Consultant. As a result, I started the Able Skills Home Study Course, City and Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Electrotechnical Installations, and nine months later I have successfully completed the course. The knowledge I now have is extensive and invaluable. Central to the assimilation of this knowledge, both theoretical and practical, is the instruction I received from Able Skills. With regard to my personal background, I have been a qualified Judo instructor for nearly forty years, and I consider that I know what constitutes a good instructor. My view is that the instruction I received at Able Skills was excellent. In respect of my own coaching activities, I perpetually attempt to improve, and I simply could not have asked for better instruction, or even coaching, from my instructor, to get the best out of me. I have great faith in our young citizens and it was a rewarding experience working alongside them, helping each other in fraternity, as they strove to build their working careers.
